Bookcase/Shelves and Food

Image
Well as normal I have been on Pinterest. Here are some bookcase/shelving units I found that I think is totally neat. The first two are similar but one being larger. I really, really like these two. WOW....awesome. I might need to make a small on like the one below. I saw the one below at a Home Improvement Show years ago and then I stumbled upon it on PINTEREST.  I know that some OCD folks probably could not stand a lot of these types of things. Personally think the one below would be cute in a smaller version and sitting on a large desk! I gotta stop cooking. I made a meatloaf in the crock pot yesterday. Bob Evans cream potatoes and fried brussel sprouts. So good.  Do you have shelves or bookcases in your house? Anything like these?  Pam

Breakfast, Dinner, Flowers, Bush, 2020 Wedding, Gas Tank

Good morning folks. For the first time in a bit I am blogging the day I post that blog! I have been blogging and holding them till I could post them.  This morning I am sharing my breakfast with you. ,  Egg, ham, cheese, onion and jalapenos. Yum...I actually cracked out three eggs with the intent to scramble and give Chey some but then I decided on an omelette. I poured the eggs from the bowl to the skillet and added the onions and peppers before I remembered there were three eggs...and with what I added Chey did not need. I did however give her some ham I did not use. But being that was so many eggs, I was only able to eat a tad over a half.  While sharing food with you, here is dinner from last night.  Ate my dinner at the bar I made in the kitchen with my book while I read.  Cut these from my garden last night. I never realized that there were so many different kinds, types, colors and shapes of Zinnia's.  Talking flowers, I ran in Lowe's for a piece of wood the other night

Christine over at  https://cmlk79.blogspot.com/  and Darla over at  http://darlamsands.blogspot.com/   mentioned the Blueberry Bomb cake that I made. Christine is was good. Matter of fact it is just so good that I will not be making it for awhile, I can't unless I give it all away! Darla dear, you never heard of that cake cause that is my invention. James at the wedding venue is the one that named it.  BLUEBERRY BOMB!!!!!! (pic from internet) Brain over at   https://brianshomeblog.com/  commented that it looked like my daughter had some good little helpers in the kitchen. Brain they are the best helpers if they ever get in the mood to help. Most days they would rather be playing video games.  Liz https://lawsofgravity.blogspot.com/  made the comment that she thought it was a good idea that I repurpose things and not toss them in the trash. I admit, I love doing it and making things out of other things, but I also don't like throwing out a butch of things. That is the reason Goo

Sleep Issues, Maple Bacon Cupcakes, Text Messages and Cheese Cakes

I know that as we age (such a terrible word) our sleep habits change, but having a chronic illness can also upset the apple cart, or sleep pattern. Last week I could barely stay awake, and only by pushing myself till 8:30. However that all changed this week. Monday I could hardly stay away from the couch and from taking a nap, or two. But come bedtime, I could not even get tired enough to want to head to bed. It was well after 11:30 before I thought that tired was enough to lead me to bed. Well even then I still had issues. The last time I looked at the clock it was after 3 am. Clock would go off at 4:45, I was heading to work that Tuesday morning. Well that did not happen.  I had yet another sleepless night Tuesday night. Last time I looked at the clock and it was well after one before I was able to sleep. I was up at 4:45, at work at 6:45. Its the end of the month and I had billing to do. I have more to do so I will be going in again tomorrow. Hoping that I can sleep tonight. I did

Table Decor and The Bright Place

Image
The house next door to me has pine trees that lines the side of the fence that separates our yards. I was out there walking the other day and found some pine cones that had fallen into my yard so I just picked them up to use for decor.  I placed them with my table decor. The tray I made sometime ago and recently finished up the candle holders. Love the table clothe I found over a yr ago at Goodwill for 4.99. I have it covering the table cause I am not a fan of honey oak.  It hides it well.  I was out at the Bright Place the other day, Home of TN Tiny Weddings.  James planted sunflowers around is old tractor. Looks pretty cool.  Such a peaceful place. Relaxing and I so needed to get out.  Also, I took my new camera along and took some shots. Need to start using it more before it gets old! haha Pam

Mommies Little Helpers and The Blueberry Bomb

Image
On Saturday my daughter posted pics of DJ and Braden. Along with their pics you posted this~ My little helpers today!  Braden helped me make 2 cheesecakes.  DJ helped me make lasagna and volunteered to do dishes because according to him he is a professional!! My sweet yet silly grands!!! James at the wedding venue wanted a Blueberry Bomb cake for his step dads bday. So he whipped out the money for me to make it.  However, making it in a larger pan, then flipping it out of the pan, it broke up.  CRAP! But, upon putting on the icing, cream cheese icing, I was able to piece it together and cover it up. I do not do a full cover of icing, I actually melt the container of icing a little (no, I did not make the icing this time) and I sort of pour it over the cake and smooth it out.  I made this same cake using pie filling cherries and leaving the blueberries out, it was moist, tasted good but was not the blueberry bomb!  HAHA..... Do you have a fave cake? Do you make it or does someone make i

I was sitting here listening to the news when a commercial came on about a show that is coming on for the second season, Love Island! Seriously, what is this world coming too. HAHA...okay, that is a silly question since I am sure we all have been asking that since March.  Do you watch those type of shows? Me, NO...I do not watch Survivor, Big Brother, Love Island, Bachelor, Dr. Pimple Popper, My 600 lb Life, NONE of those. However I did stumble on one that comes on Wed. nights called Touch as Nails. I watch that one and I really like it.  Yesterday, late afternoon it came a down pour. Brother ran over and cut the grass and just as he finished it started.  It rained hard all night. It is just now letting up at nine am. We have more coming in off and on all day, some thunder storms. Chey freaks with the thunder and chances are I will not be here when they come in. Tried wrapping a Benadryl in cheese for her last night and she managed to find it. She did her share of shaking.  I have a c

So yesterday I touched on my dr. apt with you and just cause I have a lack of things to blog on right now I will fill you in on the rest of the apt. My labs from six weeks ago were great. A1C was 5.2! Yay...It has been down since having my surgery over 3 yrs ago. Problem is once you are told you are a diabetic that never leaves your file and you are considered one with it under control. So, mine is still under control. Other labs were also great, except I am showing protein in my urine. Not to be surprised, I have been showing that for over a yr. Over a yr ago my doc put me back on my BP meds even though the BP was only running a tad high. Figuring with all I had been dealing with was a lot of that but also due to the protein. The BP meds I take have a protective agent in there that helps protect the kidneys. I am on a very low dose of the BP meds but with my BP running low and me having been having low pressure my doc has opted to have me take my BP meds every other day. My BP was 92
