Alphabet Challenge Z

Image
Letter today is And like the X I am at a lost at what to post for Z so this will be a mix and match of what starts with a Z! The best one is a ZIPPER. Very important cause it helps in keeping you pants up and your dress closed! Fun times from elementary school. Do you remember these? LOL - post these right after I got up and was not paying attention. Been brought to my attention already that this starts with an X. Thanks for catching this. And the horse with stripes! Thanks for stopping in,

Sofa Table

Last week I put this together on one of those days that things were feeling ok.... Was actually a simple project, or should have been but not having the space to build things like this was really hard on my old body. I managed to get it stained. And through out the week I got it polyed to protect it. Finally moved it to the living room yesterday and this evening I finally got it behind the couch. Not sure what I want to sit on it but for now this will be it. The light is one of two that my mom and dad picked up in an antique shop when they married. Today, managed to wash a few dishes, unload the dishwasher and sweep the kitchen floor. That is about it. The fibro is acting up along with fatigue so I am just doing what I have learned to do best. Lay around. Slept a lot today and my bud is doing a great job at being here with me. Thanks for stopping in,

Image
Todays letter is the and a Y is for yarn. Don't you just love all the colors that yarn comes in? Yarn can make up beautiful scarfs. Or a baby gift. For my great nephew. A little hat. More scarfs. Or potholders. And you can even wrap a wreath with it to make a door hanger. Thanks for stopping in to view my yarn works,

Another This and Thank and A Visit with my Niece

Hello all, Another day out and about....at least the first part. Before going into that I just wanted to post these. These make the best storage containers. I keep them in my pantry. These are what my protein shakes have came in after my surgery. I am glad it hit me before I went to recycle them.. I took this at my brothers yesterday, this is Moose. Chocolate lab, he usually goes to work with my brother but since Ray was hanging at the house yesterday so was Moose. This time of year I normally get lots of BLOOD SUCKER bites. But so far this year it has not been so bad. I did get one last week and this is the results still after a week. Hoping that the change in meds since surgery will stop being the dart board for misquotes but we will see. Yesterday while Dakota and I were out, and yes, he goes most places I do. We stopped to pick up some drinks. Yes, I get Dakota his own drink. Oh mom, that was n

Alphabet Challange W - Women

TODAY's letter is the for Women. How about paintings of the women I have done. We can call this the Women's Series This painting was my very first women's painting but....it was also my second painting period. Yep, I really bit off more than I could chew (paint ) with this one... but I managed it. What is really cool about this painting is.... my son when he was a lot younger thought this painting was cool. A few years ago I was going to sell it off but I talked with Cory first, he did not want me to sell it. He said he wanted it. That really touched me. Moving on... I studied painting in my later years, I was 42. And I started with oils. Actually I worked with acrylics in high school on the two paintings that I did paint. But I love oils. This one is painted on a larger canvas and hangs in my spare room. This little woman I sold to a woman I want to school with. If
