Day 179- September 20, 2010 - Brayden Joshua

Image
September 20, 2010 my 3rd grandson, Brayden made his way into the world. He appeared at 10:31am, weighing in at a whopping 7lbs 3.6 oz's and stretched out he measured 20 inches long. My daughter Amber has two other boys, Caleb and DJ. Both born with light hair, but Brayden came to us with a head full of dark hair like his Mom had when she was born. All wrapped up and looking around everywhere. Pretty color when this pic was taken but when he arrived he was blue. He gave us a bit of a scare with his heart rate dropping and Nana began to get really nervous when there was about 10 to 12 nurse in with the doctor. The cord was wrapped around his neck but all is well now. He will be Nana's Baby Smurf with his coloring. Thanks for stopping in and meeting Brayden.

Day 169 - September 10, 2010 - Washers

Image
Spent the better part of the day doing nothing.....something I seem to be getting really good at. But I had this project on my mind that I had seen on a blog (sorry, can't seem to locate that blog again). So I decided to go to the hardware store and get started with it. All this project takes is ribbon and regular metal washers. Lenght of the ribbon and the amount of washers depends on how long you want the necklace to be. Check this out. Not sure how you feel about it but I have to have earrings to match. So this is what I came out with. Found the directions for making the necklace by keying in necklaces made from washers. There are several different ways and directions for this. Check it out. Thanks for stopping in,
