Alphabet Challenge - E is for Earrings





My daddy was in the Navy
for 22 years.

While he was in the service
he was shipped to Japan.

While there he purchased a
couple pair of earrings for
my mom.

A few years ago my mom
past those on to me.
Of course they were the screw
on type and me having
pierced ears I could not
wear them. But all
I had to do was put some
pierced replacements in.

But being who I am, I could
not wear earrings without
a matching necklace to go with
them. haha..
So off to my favorite store,
Hobby Lobby!
The best match I could come
up with was this.
But I love it.
Love my earrings that dad
brought back for mom almost
60 years ago.

E- for earrings!

NICE! I have often pondered how to turn some of my vintage screw-on earrings into pierced earrings. (They do not have drops)

Nice! My Dad brought back nearly matching necklaces from Egypt for Mom and me (mine was prettier, but smaller) after a business trip decades ago. Sad to say, mine disappeared on a rare bar hopping trip with coworkers. ~sigh~ There was no way to guess where I lost it. And I doubted the goodness of humankind enough to make the attempt at backtracking.

We've got Mom's jewelry box, most of which is costume jewelry and the earrings are much too large to make new again. I love your idea though!

 Seasonal changes are coming,  moving in slowly as always,  but coming.  Leaves are falling, not since fall is close but cause we  are so freak'n dry. Kyler, Boys, Boys and More Boys, Hearts, Results and Two Births in Two Days

 Welcome to the world Kyler (K for the sound of  Caleb, and yler for Tyler which is Caleb's middle name, dad). And number five of my great grandkids, 2nd one in the  bloodline. Kyler came into the world, on his big brother, Alistur's bday,  yesterday, almost at the same time as he did. NOW~ NO MORE BOYS PLEASE. Grandkids~ three blood born from my daughter that turned around and married a man with  FOUR (4) boys. Giving me 7 grandSONS. My blood grandson brought another boy to the mix with Alistur when he met Triniti. Now he gives me this  little boy. Brayden, son of my son in law, has given me Beckham who will be a yr old in Dec..... AND expecting a boy in Jan. Let's count again, 7 grandsons, 3 great grandsons with one on the way... The Rest of Today

After my trip to town today,  visit with the doc, stopping  and picking up breakfast I  headed home.  I had dropped Dakota off at mom's for the day. He was going  to spend the day  playing with Klohe and Cheyenne. While he was hanging at mom's Lily and I chilled all day.  So much to do but I can't seem to get it in gear. Later....I had an apt for a hair cut. But I left out early to stop  at the  Mystic Heart. I picked up some healing stones there.  Entering the store I read this sign... haha Then while in there I saw this sign. From there I headed to see  Kelley, my hair stylist.
