Update on Lily, Spider, Purchases, and Evie
My catitude, tortietude
girl is doing better.
Lily went back to the vet on Thursday,
she had not eaten since Saturday,
she was not drinking, she was hanging
on the deck during the day and
under the bed at night.
I was terrified.
Blood work showed all was fine.
Urine showed all was fine.
On Thursday they gave her
fluids, retrieved a stool sample,
and again, no fever, nothing.
Only conclusion was it was viral.
I hate when docs and in this case
the vet uses that word cause to me
that is like saying, can't find a problem
so it has to be this.
They did do xrays and found no
blockage, showed air moving
through like it should.
They sent me home with an anti
inflammatory meds and some Hills
Urgent Care food.
At 10:30 pm, Thursday night, she
came in off the deck, walking around like
normal. Came and sat in front of me and looked
at me as if to say, "I feel better mom".
She wanted some attention and sat still
long enough for me to brush her. She loves
the steel tooth brush and loves me to just
run it over her head, time and time again.
She licked at some food and even made
several trips to the litter box to
get rid of the fluid they gave her.
I will give her another dose of meds
today but so far this morning, all
appears like she is on the mend.
QUESTION~ how did she get this?
Doc said that it was as simple as another
cat coming and breathing through the screen
at her. Misty is fine, no signs that she has
caught this. It can't be spread from a human.
But last night I thought of Emmy.
She has been fine, but could she have carried it
in to Lily?
No clue.
I just know I am thrilled!
I would like to say I have not left
her side, but since cats rather be alone
when sick, I can't say that. I can however,
say, I have not left her alone in the house.
I have not even gone to get my
allergy shot. She was spending her days
on the deck and every 15 mins I checked on her.
I guess she figured she better get
well or I was going to drive her nuts.
This girl is a BIG one.
Legs stretched out, I would say
bigger than a half dollar.
Gives me the willies.
Last yr. she had her eggs and I left them
which we all know it was not my corcern
at the time since I was dealing with the
get out of bed to the couch issues with
my vits and iron being low.
They hatched this spring and with that,
I have two of her babes that built webs,
those big thick ones on the deck. One right outside
also. They gotta go cause next yrs hatch might
give me two to three more that hang around and
I can't deal with that.
These big ole things live two to three
years and if I allow them to stay, it would
be a generation after generation thing.
Now for my purchases when I stopped
at the antique store the other day.
I got this, its on a pole that you stick
in the ground and the round part turns.
16.00 bucks, not a bad buy.
They are going on the side of the shed by the
firepit area.
3.00 bucks each...and rusted already.I love it.
I also saw these cameras at the
antique store.
I actually started my love of photography
on a Polaroid camera but mine
did not stretch out like that.
I carried mine all over. Course the price
of film for these things these days is
CRAZY!
Also, after posting this pic
I noticed the butterflies in the
background. Home Interior,
and I used to have a set of these.
I do not know this brand. But its
older than most of the cameras I have.
The invention of digital cameras is amazing,
no film or processing to do. I love it.
Seven years ago,
Friday, July 17, this girl came into
our lives !
Merriest bday sweet angle.
You are so special and so very much
loved by us all.
Hoping you all are having a
great day,
Pam
