Comments to Blog Post, Mowing and Rain, Digging and Rain, Dinner, Boy and his Dog

 Hi everyone.
Hoping you have a beautiful start
to your day.

My post yesterday about stopping at
the Amish store and checking out the varied amount
of jellies, jams and preserves brought some
comments that I thought I would
address today.

Miss Merry over at the house with
the picket fence, commented that the
bacon jam is good on a burger.
Oh my gosh, that sounds like it
would be amazing. I will have to pick
up a jar of that next time I am
out there and try it out. She also stated
that Traffic Jam was her favorite.

I checked that one out and it also sounds
great, a mix of different berries. Even
though it sounded good, I was in the mood
to try something different. One of the
others was also a mix of berries,
just different ones then what is
in a Traffic Jam.
That lead me to check out the berries
that are in Traffic Jam and
Frog Jam.
Traffic Jam has peaches,
strawberries, red raspberries, cherries and
cranberries in it.
The Frog Jam, makes me wonder why
it is named that, but it has fig, raspberries,
orange and ginger.
They both sound great but I love
things with orange in them.

Darla stated that she does not have a connection
to folks she went to school with.
But she did one reunion and it was not
good. Yep, I have done a couple of reunions
now, but I waited years before I attended one.
I think I did the 25th and everyone
was okay. But I then waited and did not
attend till the 40th, I think. However, between
the 25th and the next one, there were
many get togethers for dinners, lunches
and listening to a group of friends
playing at the local marina.
I am pleased and proud of the connection
the class of 78 has

 but more so the connection
the school has, and FYI, the actual building is
still around, it is now a middle school and DuPont
does not have a senior high school anymore.

Proud to be a bulldog.

Darla also talked about a hard fruit candy
she used to like but it probably would not taste
good now. Yep, the thing is, taste changes over
time. For me, I personally don't like strawberries
but I do like that flavor in candy,
pop tarts and other things.

Liz left me a message about the difference
in the different types of coffees.
Thanks for that, now I think I might
want to try out Caribbean type.
Bitter however, not a fan of, so
I will not venture off trying that stuff at all.

On Saturday I went out to try and get the
yard cut between rain storms.
That did a great job in calling in
a storm just as I finished the front yard.
Worked better than a rain dance would.
And on Sunday I started out to do my
daily walk about, and got sidetracked with
some plants I had sitting over by the dry
creek bed. Gound was way too wet to finish
up cutting to the yard but I thought since the
yard was wet, I could dig some easy holes for
planting the plants around the creek bed.
WOW....although it was cloudy, there was
not a dark cloud in the sky, but all of a sudden
the rain started coming down, easy at first.
Then the rain got harder and harder.

I watched my dry creek that still just has
the lining in it, flow so nicely with the pouring
rain, I was so proud of that job. Once the
yard dries up I will pull the car around
back and take out the bags of rocks to fill
the creek.
As I stood there in the pouring rain with
no dry spot of clothes on, I decided that
digging in the rain was not bad.
So, I took my shovel over to another area
of the yard, where the under the ground
gutter system comes out, I am going to
take it down to the dry creek so it will
all drain out altogether. I bought the
plastic gutter stuff to attach to what is
already in the ground last yr but never got
to the digging part.
I got this done but have a little
more to go.

I bought an extra long plastic
drain off thingy but I might even
need more to get it to where it needs to go
to merge in with the dry creek.

Saturday night I went to dinner at
Ambers house.
She made smash burgers and
real homemade fries.
YUM.
She also made brownies but
I had stopped and got stuff for
Rice Krispy Treats so we had two
sweets. Then we sat in the living room
with the tv and talk.
Look at this boy with his dog.
Braden loves that silly dog
and she loves him so much.
B has this large diamond cut
necklace and he puts it on Emmy.
She walks all around with it on,
only cause I think B is the one
that put it on her.
Silly dog.

Have a great week,
Pam
