Coffee Shop, Dark Clouds, Holey Barrel, Hummingbirds, Fog and My Weirdo

Tuesday, I headed out for my
allergy shot. From there I took my
sewing machine that I bought last week
back to Wally World, there was
missing parts.
After that I headed over to the
Pumphery and Beard coffee shop to drop
off some 2.5x3.5 cards for the
vending machine. Figured I would make
one more stop at the antique store.
Then home...

Pumphery and Beard

Leaving the coffee shop this is
what it looked like outside.

I had to take a pic of this can at the
antique store in there outside
area. I wondered if it had been
shot up or just rusted out.

I so want this for the yard.

Visitors the hummingbird feeder.

Oh my gosh, isn't this little
dude so pretty.
Gorgeous Ruby Throated
hummingbird.
I put up feeders in spring of 24 after
my winter move here.
After putting up feeders, this male
showed up, floating around with
no effort at all, darting in and out, taking
a nip here and there.

Like all birds, the male is the
prettiest and more colorful.

Yes, many hummingbirds return to the same locations each year, demonstrating strong site fidelity and remarkable navigational skills.

Yes, many hummingbirds return to the same locations each year, demonstrating strong site fidelity and remarkable navigational skills.

Hummingbirds often revisit the same feeding areas, gardens, and breeding grounds annually, sometimes even arriving on the same date as the previous year .
This behavior, known as site fidelity, allows them to exploit familiar and reliable food sources, reduce competition, and re-establish territories.  Female hummingbirds also tend to return to the area where they were born to nest and raise their young.

Hummingbirds can live 3 to 5 yrs.

Wednesday morning greeted me with this
site.

Counting fogs in July is not a thing but
according to ole wise tales, the amount
of fogs in August is supposed to show
you the amount of snows we will have.
August is around the corner,
so be prepared to count your
foggy mornings.

Saw this on fb this morning,
I had to laugh and scratch my head,
cause I am wondering which rock mine is
hiding under.

And on that note,
I will close for now.
Have a beautiful day filled
with rocks in your pocket,
Pam
