A Walk About Through the Yard for Plants and Projects

How about a walk about through
yard?
My sedum is so confused. Our temps have
been down and no humidity, which makes
my sedum assume fall is coming.
You see, this blooms at the beginning
of fall.

Took my walk about Friday morning
and stopped at the mailbox.
I loved the view so much,
I just had to have a pic.

I think this is a Batchlors Button
growing from seeds I tossed at
the mailbox.

I walked across the road the other
day to see if any seeds I tossed over
there at the end of summer was doing
anything.
Morning Glory was blooming.
The Marigold did not take.

Another shot of the mailbox.

This is a weed, and or
Dandelion, only this is one I
have never seen till this yr.
Google, I love Google, tells me that
it is a Texas Dandelion, AKA Carolina
Desert-chicory or
false dandelion.
Now I insert my thought here,
Carolina Desert? Why that name,
according to my brain, Carolina
don't have deserts...

Anyway, hard to tell in this pic,
looks like ole reg dandelion but
up together, its different.

My dug up from the woods,
Bee Balm.

How cool is that. The bee balm
I had at the other place had
red blooms.

Now, this is growing right under
the edge of my deck and I refuse to
weed it or cut it down.
It is a Bracken Fern.
They grow in wooded areas.

And another spot at the carport that
it grows. I thought I got all
this moves last yr when I dug it
up and took to Theresa for her
shade garden.
These big leave ferns, also
growing at the edge of the deck
are Sensitive ferns.
I am taking these up
the night before heading to
Nashville for the 4th.
Therea said she would take more.

Such a pretty color Morn Glory.

Now to share more of the yard,
minus plants with you.

You have seen the water wagon,

But with the temps and humidity
down, I have been able to get
somethings done.

This is what is behind the wagon,
the circled area are the two
down spout things that come from
the gutters on each side of the house,
under ground and out midway in the backyard.

The water comes flushing out and d
own to the woods where
the natural made runoff is.
But between the spouts, and the
woods, that area gets slick after the
rains and takes a bit to dry up.
So, I have this area, grass removed, dug
out some, lined with rocks, next I
will add the liner, and the river rocks
that will act as a dry creek bed, until
it rains.

I started a walkway last yr that I
got partly done.
My first thoughts were to take
it to the shed but since then,
I have changed that thought
and the amount those rocks were costing!!

I decided the path needed to go
to the area of the firepit but I
would never get that done, and me not
being your matchy, mathcy, everything
the same, traditional person, I did my
own thing.

I decided it needed to all
mismatched and different.

Just over look the other mess
around that area as I tend
to create more work to do with
clean up when I do things.
But the pathway is done.

Next, I worked on the area
in front of the craft shed.
I decided I wanted grass in
front of it, but that required moving
gravel. Laying a border, and start
the grass. Still working there.

With that said, rain today, rain
tomorrow and I am doing a garden
crawl thing near Nashville with my ex hubs
cousin so I will not get work down.
Then come Sunday...
HEAT
moves in.

Plus, I have lumber in the car to start
my shelving in the living room,
and I sit and blog!!

lol
