Christmas Gifts, Wall and Candle Holders
I have been trying to get some Christmas gifts made. That, while going through my other stuff, (that by the way is packed up) for the craft fair. So far, I am getting done things done.
I usually buy the grands that live with a partner, things they can use around the house. A Hodge Podge of things like laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and etc.
This yr. I have decided to add somethings I made for them/the house.
I have seen this idea put on walls with wooden pieces that look like scrabble board pieces, but I did my take on it.
I shared this one with you already.
For Brayden and Hannah.
Did one for Amber also. I debated on which to do, kids or grands and I went with kids.
While working on the one for Caleb, I made a mistake, and because of that mistake I could not fix it with more paint. I did not realize how bad the mistake was until I applied the names, done in a paint pen. Problem, not really sure what that pen has in it, but even primer would not cover the mistake, so to fix, I applied DARK paint and covered the whole mess. Yes, primer did not work, but DARK paint did the job.
The mistake helps me to learn!!!
But I will say that I think I am doing great with my hydrangeas. I love them, course it’s cool cause this is my favorite flower.
Now back to the craft fair…. I always hate coming up with prices for my stuff. Right now, that is something I am struggling with. I worry about pricing over, I would like for them to sell, but then again, I don’t want to just give it all away.
We will see, I am excited though.
You know me, I love paint! I am always showing y’all painted gates, and walls. I love this one the only problem with me having something like this is……I have to keep my wall space free for furniture. I DO NOT like a blank wall, course a painting on the wall makes it not blank, but it does make it hard to place a couch, table etc.
Many years ago my neighbor was tossing out an antique side table. Even many yrs ago I was into redoing and repurposing.
The table was something like this one I pulled from the internet.Only the table was square, and where there is one center leg going down to the feet, neighbors had two legs with a little space between. After all these yrs I have to say that I do not recall what I did with the top of the table but this two center legs became candle holders.
Although I took these apart to redo them, they used to have terracotta saucers on top for the candles to sit on top.
I never painted them cause i liked the beat up look. This go around, I am painting them, as you can see, I started the painting before I took a pic.
Now, time to see what I can get into,
Pam

One pricing formula I've seen is to take your materials prices and double it. Another is to figure out how long each took and pay yourself a reasonable hourly salary. If you search online, I'm sure you can find a formula for pricing that works for you.
