Trees around the House, Snakes, Ticks, Lily Bit, School, and Great Grands
and the leaves started to turn.
This is across the road from me.
And my backyard.
The leaves are really
starting to cover the forest
floor.
With that thought, and wanting
to venture out and walk
around, I checked about snakes.
I just know this area has its
share of copperhead
and rattlesnakes
so just going willy nilly walking around,
I don't walk about out there.
Not only fear of those but
I hate ticks too.
Here is what I found out about
the snakes,
 for 2-4 months.
And since ticks were in question also,
I looked this up and found out~
If this rain backs away for
a bit this afternoon I think
I will put on my boots and take
a walk about. Not been back there
since I had the forest floor
mulched and cleaned up.
Wed. morning here in Middle Tn. is
cool, and rainy. I got up, had coffee,
fed the girls and as I blog,
Lily is curled up next to me.
Lily's version of curling up next to
me is to be close, not touching me.
I can rub her head, if she is in the mood.
But I am good with her just laying here,
trusting, safe and purring.
Sometimes when we are close like
this, she allows me to lay my head
over on her side and just listen,
and feel those amazing purrs.
Why do cats as they grow,
get that thing called a
cattitude and in Lily's case,
with a mix of Torttitude?
The other day I called my
daughter and we were talking, but
right before hanging up, I told her to
get her homework done.
WORDS I THOUGHT I WOULD
NOT EVER BE SAYING THIS
TO MY GROWN CHILD AGAIN!
NOT EVER BE SAYING THIS
TO MY GROWN CHILD AGAIN!
Amber is almost 45
 and is taking
some college classes online.
Not only have I said those words
to her recently, but I have been saying
it to my son for almost a yr now. He is
taking college classes also, in
business. Cory is now 38.
So yes, it feels strange to be telling
them to get their homework done.
Cory, gosh love him, he is also
working on a business degree, cause
he said it's time to get a grown
up job. He is tired of dealing,
training, or watching the floor
at the casino.
Amber worked for over 10 yrs,
at a vet office in my old
stomping ground area. She continued
to work there when she moved out
to Hickman Co. but that drive, over 2 hrs
a day, was a bit much. She got a
job at a vet dentist closer to home
only to really dislike it. She applied
for a working the front desk at
a hearing place. She has been there
over five yrs or so and loves it.
But she knows she can do better
with the same company with
the business degree.
WOW...at those ages, there is no
way I would have ever went
back to school. I was more than
pleased when I graduated, with
no desire to go to college.
Amber dropped out her senior
yr. but went back for her GED.
Cory graduated with honors.
And, look at them now!
More news on the home front,
Alistur AKA Boog finally got in
for an appt with Vandy for more
screening. He was tagged with
level 2, autism.
All the info I have right
now so I have no clue where
they go now.
Everleigh, is being sent
back for more PT for her arm
and hand.
She has grown out of
a horrible spell of attitude
that all kids seem to go
through since her baby brother
came into the family.
The babes are all growing up
so fast.

Kids going back to school is a good thing. If you can do better then that's the ticket. I got my degree later in life and it served me well.
Kitties being close is a wonderful thing. They do what they do and we live with it. So precious.
Have a fabulous day and week, Pam. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥
As I read more about autism, the more it sounds like me. Best wishes to Boog.
