Silo, Abandoned, Deer, More Abandoned, Barns, Rocks, Church, and Creek to House
I shot this last week
and I shared with you. This time
I went back with a real camera,
such a cool spot.
This house is like a couple
of doors from the silo.
Looks fairly newer, but empty.
Then as I started back down
the road I saw this baby
crossing the road, only surprise,
there were actually three more
behind this one.
Got a call at the time
I spotted the deer, it
was my great granddaughter,
Felicity. She talked and talked,
while I shot what I could
and then drove on down
the road.
I did not realize till I
got home that I
caught this one in
a jump.
I love to watch them,
they move with such grace.
Yep, did it again, I drove up
the driveway (trespassing)
to shoot a few pics.
Yard is kept up nicely,
but the house sits empty and
alone.
Wow....I have to wonder
why homes are sitting, all
alone and empty, I would love
to hear the stories behind that.
I took a turn off the main
way I go to Centerville and found
another road to travel. As I was
traveling down it, I
saw Defeated Creek Rd.
I usually see this road going
down 100 to Centerville, so I decided
to take it from this end.
One of those half gravel and
half paved roads, with neat
things on it.
Like old barns.
The road got a tad
narrow, and traveled right
along side the creek, and
the creek travels right
along side the rocks.
I had to stop and shot this,
my first thought was
how far does that opening
go, does it stop right inside
the hole or travel some inside
the rocks?
Shortly past the hole in
the rocks the creek crossed
over and ventured off in
it a way I could not follow.
After a nice, windows down journey down
that road, it came to a split.
The left, remaining Defeated
Creek, but the other direction
became something else.
I will have to take that direction
sometime soon.
But, just as the road split,
there was a church,
an abandoned church.
Then I traveled on down
the road.
This place really got my
attention. The creek travels
right down to the house but I
could not tell if it went around or
under the house. Course, the house
is abandoned, and with things
grown up, I could not really
figure it out.
There are still so many
roads, roads just waiting for me
to venture down with my
camera. I guess I had better
get moving on all that.
Hope you enjoyed somewhat
of a tour of my hickey little
county and enjoyed some of
what I see.
Pam
