Kyler, Boys, Boys and More Boys, Hearts, Results and Two Births in Two Days
Welcome to the world
Kyler (K for the sound of
Caleb, and yler
for Tyler which is Caleb's
middle name, dad).
And number five of my
great grandkids, 2nd one in the
bloodline.
Kyler came into the world,
on his big brother, Alistur's bday,
yesterday, almost at the same time as
he did.
NOW~ NO MORE BOYS
PLEASE.
Grandkids~
three blood born
from my daughter that turned
around and married a man with
FOUR (4) boys.
Giving me 7 grandSONS.
My blood grandson brought another
boy to the mix with Alistur when
he met Triniti.
Now he gives me this
little boy.
Brayden, son of my son in law,
has given me Beckham who
will be a yr old in Dec.....
AND
expecting a boy in Jan.
Let's count again,
7 grandsons,
3 great grandsons with one
on the way...
AND
only two girls in that mix.
Here are the brats, kids
Circled in blue are
Amber's two younger
kids, Dustin Jr (DJ) and
Braden.
Pictured here is Amber's
oldest at 24, Caleb Tyler pictured
with his mom and younger brother.
Caleb is the dad to Felicity and
now, Kyler.
In yellow we have Will's
kids.
Back left - Brayden not to be
mixed up with the younger
Braden. Brayden is the dad to
Evie and Beckham.
In front of Brayden is Jesse,
the other goofball on the back
row is Chandler (AKA Chan man),
and in front with the ball cap is
Will's youngest, Namath.
Now we have
Alistur and Felicity
Evie and Beckham
Belonging to Hannah and Brayden
with baby brother on the way.
Counting again...
More BOYS than there
are GIRLS!
I might not have been given
a little girl for a grandchild but
I got two adorable ones for
great grands.
Now, moving on to better news but
first, I have to set the scene for you....
My father had his first heart attack
in his 30's. Being so young at the time,
I had no clue what this was leading up
to. Ten or so years before his death at the
age 59, we were told that he had a
heart condition, Cardiomyopathy.
Later we found that this
cardiomyopathy was hereditary
and that my grandfather had it.
Later as the years moved on and
I was older, had kids of my own,
we learned more about this
hereditary gene.
Not only did it claim the life
of my dad, and grandfather,
it also took two aunts, and
possibly the 3rd aunt, and two
uncles. WOW.....that is one
inherited trait I was hoping would
skip me and my kids. But this is
also something that does not rear
its ugly head until later in life.
With all that said, I was older
my kids were grown and it was not
until 2008 when I lost my last
aunt to this mess.
It was just recently after digging
and thanks to FB and our
page, Montgomery Cousins, that
I learned this went back at least
to my great grandfather and learned
about those uncles I mentioned
earlier. But you see, that did not
stop with that generation, hence the
word, hereditary. My nephew,
oldest brother's son was diagnosed
with cardiomyopathy, 17 years old.
HAHA...sorry, not a great pic of
my handsome nephew but I was
shooting for those in the back taking a
pic while I took a pic.
We all seem to want to make
faces when we have our pic made.
At this point it might appear that this
horrible crap skipped my generation,
Ray, Me and Mark. But nope, it
targeted Ray, which in turn is when
we learned that if Chase had it, it
had to be past to him from his dad.
But that is not the only family
affected. Same generation, my
Ray and my cousins, both sisters,
daughters of the last relative, my last
aunt to go from this issue, had it.
It moved on to a daughter of each
one of my cousins, which if I have confused
you yet, is Chase's generation.
With all this heart crap passing
here and there when I was younger
there was no thing like genetic
testing. We just had to live, wonder
and wait and see.
However, with my brother, his son,
and some heart issues with Chases
son it spurred Vanderbilt in wanting
genetic testing done.
That is where I entered the pic.
My daughter was having palpations
and with the history, this lead us to
Vandy. She is fine, mostly
hormones with perimenopause causing
hers. But the most likely person, being
connected with Ray, to test in my family
was me.
My results are back and .............................................
......................................................
wait for it..................................
......................................................
....................................................
.....................................................
I do not carry the gene.
Now, that means that is one thing my
side of this family will not
inherit!!!!!!!!
You see, I was not worried for me,
but I did worry about Amber and Cory,
Cory who has a murmur and although there
might not be a connection, it added to my conceern.
But it also means, that
Caleb, DJ and Braden will not
have this gene,
neither will Felicity or
Kyler, or any family members
to come afterwards.
With my health issues, my mom
telling me I got in the wrong
line for body parts, I used to fear having
gotten this, only like I said, at this
point in my life, I was not worried for
me. I just wanted to know that I
did not pass it down the line, and
the way this family is growing,
it's nice to know.
And with that said, Chase's
sister, who shows no sign on
the gene, is having her
4th kid today. Seems boys are
in the air. This will be her 3rd
boy with only one girl to fend
for herself.
You know what, I am super glad
also, that I am out of the age of
having kids and the younger
generation is all about it.
Wow, the thoughts,
YUCK!
Have a merry day,
Pam
