Sunflowers and the Pattern, Breakfast, The Look, Oak Trees and Acorns

As normal this post will be
a hodge podge of stuff since
I have no life and I don't get out
to take pics of me doing things!
haha
But hey, even when I did, my
post seemed to be a hodge podge
of things.

I saw this the other day and
with it I am amazed once
again at Mother Nature.

Read below~

Did you know that the sunflower hides an
amazing mathematical secret?
The sunflower is not just a beautiful flower; its
seeds follow the Fibonacci spiral, a precise
mathematical pattern that helps it grow with amazing efficiency!
This flower arranges its seeds according to
the Fibonacci sequence, giving it the best possible
distribution of space within the disc and allowing it
to produce the largest number of seeds without
overcrowding. This clever arrangement ensures
optimal absorption of light and nutrients, making it
one of the most efficient plants in nature!
But it's not limited to plants!
In a spiral, its shell grows in a spiral shape that
gradually expands at the same Fibonacci ratio,
giving it strength and a solid structure.
In galaxies and planets, some spiral galaxies follow
the same ratio in the arrangement of their arms,
while this pattern also appears in the orbits of
some planets and moons, reflecting a harmonious
mathematical system in the universe.

Above I mentioned that
I had no life and did not
get out anymore, well the other
day I did get out.
You see I have been taking
Braden to Centerville, 25 mins
down the road every morning for
the past week.
Friday morning, I decided to
stop for breakfast. Like I said
many, many times, we have no
places to eat around here.
This place started out as
a seasonal flower store.
But about a yr ago, they
redid the inside and it is
now a place to stop and have
a meal. This is my second or
third time to eat here and
it's pretty good.

I noticed the table up from
me is a group of older men
that meet for coffee either
every morning or once a week.
Nice comfortable place and they
still sell flowers outside
in the spring and summer.

I was at DG the other day
and I turned down an aisle
when I felt I was being watched.
The thing is they all looked
surprised to see me.
Look at the looks I was
getting!

I found this nut at
the top of the driveway the
other day and thanks to the
Pic This app, I know that it
belongs to a Scarlet Oak.

Different from what I find
down in my yard, cause I have
different oak trees in the yard.
I have to say, I never realized that
there are so many different oak
trees. So of course, I had to flip over
on the internet and see what I could
find about them.
Known as forest monarchs, oak trees
 (Quercus spp.) symbolize resilience and
sustainability. Over 500 oak tree species
belongs to the Quercus genus, sharing a
family with beech and chestnut in the Fagaceae
family. Their forms vary as trees or shrubs,
showcasing a range of deciduous or evergreen
leaves. Red oaks flaunt scarlet leaves in fall,
while holm and cork oaks with small,
evergreen leaves charm urban settings.

Found this pic on the net of
a scarlet oak.
Same type of tree in the fall.

Again, the acorn for a scarlet oak.

But this is what I find in
my backyard, it is an
acorn to a chestnut oak.

I also get the common
white oak acorns cause
I have this tree also in the backyard.

With looking up acorns of
oak trees I then had to dive
into things more, can you eat
all the acorns for all the oak
trees? YES, you can, however
you have to prepare them
correct because they are really
bitter. But if interested here is
how you prepare them.
Seems like a lot of work
to me!

AND.
that remark about looking
for easy things to fix, I learned
years ago to cut corners
on things that can be just enjoyable
with less work..
Pecans are easier, don't have
to prepare them, they are
already done for me, and
they taste so good.
I had a great aunt that
could crack a pecan,
remove both sides in
whole pieces. I did not get
that talent from her,
mine came out in pieces
but they still tasted
GREAT!

Closing for now, Lily
wants to play.
