Blueberry, My Madness, Ants and Bananas, Unstoppable, Solo Cups, The Shelf, Waffle It
Not many of you went
for finding the
panda....but here
he is.
differently than normal, I
changed up the coffee.
I was drinking blueberry
coffee and enjoying it.
This would probably explain the
change,
it's just madness!
haha
Wow, so wished I knew about
this last yr. But I am blogging about
it now so that when/if I need it,
I will know where to find it!
do not use chemicals
for ants. Use a banana
peel and the problem is solved.
1. Preparation: Choose
ripe bananas with dark
spots. Eat the fruit and
save the peels.
2. Prepare the solution:
Mix half a liter of hot
water with 10 grams of
3. Soak the peels: Immerse
the banana peels in
the prepared solution
and let them sit for
several hours.
4. Place the shells: Once
soaked, remove the shells
and cut them into small pieces.
5. Distribution: Place the
shell pieces under bushes
and along trails where
you see ants.
6. Removal process: Ants
will be attracted to the
impregnated shells. They
will carry the boric acid
back to the nest.
7. Result: Although
they do not die immediately,
the boric acid will
accumulate in their bodies and eventually wipe out
the entire colony,
including the queen.
8. Additional benefit:
Banana peels, when
decomposed, act as
a natural fertilizer for plants.
This method is safe
and effective for
controlling ants in
your garden without
harming other beneficial insects.
The ants I get here in the once
upon a time, woods are a pain in
the rear. I call them little piss ants,
but I am not sure what type they
are. They are not the tiny little
black ones, they are what I call
the next size up, and a mix
of brown and black.
Pretty sure they are not fire
ants but like I said, no clue.
They do build some tall
hills to live in though.
First sign I will try this
along with my Torre ant killer.
Every time I buy craft supplies,
I feel this way.
Take my word for it, I am
all over the place with my stuff
craft stuff.
There are some days that I really
wished I could turn the creative
side off. My mind is always running
with things to make, how to
make them and what to do
with them. I don't only do that
with crafting, I do it with planning
my yard decor.
When I am out and about, esp
thrift stores, I am looking
for unusual things to use
for pots outside.
Yesterday, I hit upon it.
I got these solo look alike
cups for a buck 99 each.
I did not get the red cause
it was three something.
Oh, this will be fun. For those
of you that are not in my head
and my thoughts, stop shaking
your head at me!! lol
What I will do is take my
wood burning tool and melt
holes in the bottom of the
buckets for drainage.
So excited.
I know I keep reminding you, but
remember the changes in
my bedroom from blue
to brown? The slow
process of me decorating?
Yep, I thought you did.
Here is what I did above
the bed. Yes, I know that you
folks in Calif. don't put things
above your bed for fear of
an earthquake taking them down....
on your head!
As much as I love the wood,
the boxes, the metal pitcher
and the rust of the bed springs,
it needed something.
The something was a book
of poems and then I added some
greenery and purple to the
wreath.
I was just laying on the bed
rubbing THE QUEENS
head and looked up, smiled,
I am liking this look.
bought something I decided
I wanted. Wait, I actually started
the bday month at the end
of last month with the
cat statue and the
Gargoyle. Oh, lets face it, I
purchase things for myself all
the time!
Back to what I bought, a mini
personal waffle maker.
Used it as soon as I got in
with it and washed it.
I took a small roll of
cinnamon rolls and smashed
them in the waffle maker,
and then iced them!
What an amazing treat.
I have seen so many things
to make in these and since I
have officially decided, I am not
cooking anymore.
Tired of tossing out food cause
I made too much, forgetting to
freeze leftovers, and/or getting
tired of eating something several
times a day.
Meals will consist of sandwiches,
frozen dinners and can soup.
Advantage, will not have to clean
up as much either.
Instead of frying up hot water
cornbread, I can mix a small
amount and waffle it.
Biscuits from the tube and
make pizzas. I am liking the
thoughts of cooking like this.
Wed. was a really strange
day. Usually, rain and storms
usher in the cold cool snap,
but yesterday was a cool start
to the day, the storms brought
in warm temps at sunset.
I came in from errands and it
was so warm compared to
earlier, still feeling with an eerie
like feel to the evening. I thought maybe
more rain and storms but nope, nice
evening, and the girls loved
their deck time.
Lily was all laid out on the
daybed with Misty cruising the
deck.
