Fall Decor, and Photo Shoot

Image
I have not been crafting but FALL brings the ump out making me want to. HAHA This is not really a crafty thing but more a decor thing. I made the tray and  candle holders years ago, but I found the three color candles at Dollar Tree the other day, stopped in after picking up cat food. I removed my battery operated candles and put these in  the holders. After that, I placed  some red color leaves in  the tray.   A buck 25 for these  candles and they are decorated so cute. I love my dining table  decor. OKAY, don't judge me, I am  rushing the fall season.  Check out this amazing  photo shoot I found on FB. I would give credit to the  photographer but when  I blow up the name its hard to read. I love this and would so love to do this type of photo shoot. Would you play along with the photographer for a  shoot like this? Pam

Bone Babes, Large Planter, Forest, Scratcher and Player

Being in recovery and  battling daily to feel some  UMP I have been laying low... okay, laying, but  no lower than the couch. Before surgery I bought the Bone Babes some hats. I stepped out to the porch  this morn to put them on. Bone Babe Lovers! Need to inventive and  pose them in some really cute ways. The other day, when I went to the dollar store, I took a  short road home that I have not traveled before. I saw this.   Seen boats used as planters before but usually they are sort of buried in the ground. I have also seen them used as ponds. Leaves are changing but not due to fall since it is not fall yet, but lack of water. TN is in a drought right now. Keeps this up, if we don't have rain soon, there will be no leaves for  us to have a fall. This is my forest.  For weeks now, I have been able to see more and more of the forest floor, but the trees are getting losing lots of leaves also. Not my cat. Pulled this from an ad on FB. I bought the girls a couple of these before I m

Not sure if I ever shared with you or not, but generally I recover just fine from  my surgeries, it takes me longer to recoup from being  put to sleep.  So, I have sit here for days with no energy to  do anything. I will get up  and put dishes away, or  wash a load of clothes,  but it takes forever. But with that said, I can  redesign the house,  the closets, the cabinets,  the yard, etc, in my head cause I can't turn it  off. So, in my head, my yard looks beautiful all decked out with colors and plants, with just enough room to drive the mower through each bed and around them all. haha I have also designed the girls room. Their room started with their cat tree, a chest o drawers, daybed and litter boxes. Later, I moved the daybed out, put a tv in,  I have a desk in there and  I really need to get some of  the boxes in there unpacked. Yep, still got some of  those. I decided, in my head, that the girls needed a gym.  I surfed the net looking for  that sort of thing. Found a lot of

Being Kind and the Reward

Image
I know we all do things in life for others, maybe just a kind word at the right time, a pat on the back or a hug. Maybe we bought someone a meal when they needed it or  donated to someone in need. Whatever the reason, we do these things without expecting anything in return. But sometimes, either right away,  a month or two later, or even  may years later, that kindness is returned.  I tell you that to say,  Saturday evening chilling on the couch I saw Fed Ex pull in the driveway. I knew I had not ordered anything,  but I remember that last week, a woman I went to school with,  lives in Ga. said she sent me something to play with while I recovered,  but cause I lived so far out, it would not get to me till Tue. or Wed. So, I just thought, maybe I was  getting an early delivery. I went out on the porch to  this large box. I slide it in with my foot and legs to not lift on it. It was heavy. Here again I  am thinking, what is this and  who really sent it. After opening the box, I  find thi

Did You Know? The History  of the Middle Finger... Well, now...,.. here's something  I never knew  before, and now that I know it,  I feel compelled  to share with my intelligent  friends in the hopes  that they too, will feel blessed in having gained  more knowledge. History is  way more fun  when you know more fun facts  about it, don’t you agree? Before the Battle of Agincourt  in 1415, the French,  anticipating victory over the  English, proposed to  cut off the middle finger of all  captured English  soldiers. Without the middle  finger it would be  impossible to draw the renowned  English longbow  and therefore they would be  incapable of fighting  in the future. This famous English  longbow was  made of the native English Yew  tree, and the act of  drawing the longbow was known  as 'plucking the yew'  (or 'pluck yew'), Much to the  bewilderment of the  French, the English won a major  upset and began  mocking the French by waving  their middle fingers  at t
