Season to be Sneezing, Flowers, Crackers, and a Cleaning Hint

 TIS THE SEASON TO
BE SNEEZING here in
the south.

Things are in bloom and
I am stuffed up today.

BUT,
it's all pretty.
It's flowers, trees,
bushes and plants waking
up after winter and coming
to life again.
I grabbed some pics
at Lowes when I was
in Nashville Thursday.

Magnolia tree blooming
out with those large colorful
flowers.

One of my fav spring additions,
a Forsythia bush. So bright and
yellow, like the sunshine.

Cool tree.

I laughed out loud when I
saw a big table of dirt
being pushed up by
tulips coming up from
under it.

PURPLE....yes, you know
this caught my attention.

I am not big on roses, makes
me think of a funeral home.
WHY? If you have roses in
a funeral home, that smell takes
over, the whole room smells like
a rose. So when I see and smell
roses, I think funeral.

However, this was a beautiful
color...
and
BIG!

Oh my...
nope, I did not make, but
boy they look good.
Maybe someone will
try them and let me know.

ROLO RITZ COOKIES...these are heavenly!!😋

Ingredients:

1 package Ritz crackers
1 bag Rolo candies (unwrapped)
Sea salt (optional)
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place Ritz crackers on the baking sheet in a single layer.
Top each cracker with one Rolo candy.
Bake in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the
Rolo candies are slightly melted.
Remove from the oven and immediately press another
Ritz cracker on top of each Rolo to sandwich them.
Optionally, sprinkle a tiny bit of sea salt on
top for a sweet and salty flavor.
Let them cool until the chocolate sets.
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 5
minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes

I have backed off my baking of
treats. The past yr. I have been eating
a tad too much sugar, sweets,
and breads. Sort of like
comfort food with being
sick for the first nine months
of last yr., the recovery, the
move, Christmas...etc.
Since moving, what I bake usually
over 1/2 goes to the boys.
With that being said, I am not
baking a lot of chocolate cause
DJ (middle grand) does not eat
choc.
Yep, I am still asking how he
is related to me!!
haha

Have issues cleaning the
ceiling fan blades, where
the dust flies all over?
Take a pillow case, turn
it inside out, slide the
blade in the pillow case then
near the blade, grasp
you hands around the
opening to close the
pillow case. Grasp had and
pull the case off the blade,
taking dust with you.
Take it outside, turn
it inside out and shake...

Dust be gone!

Have an amazing day,

Pam

Great way to clean the fan blades by capturing the dust. We will make the Ritz rollos with the grands for sure. Have a great day, Pam! Thank you!
i like that funky tree, with the palm looking pods or whatever they are. I don't care for roses or carnations. the smell of carnations is funeral to me. raised in a tiny poor Baptist church, there were only carnations at funerals, no one could afford the roses. sadly i am now allergeic to all things that smell strongly, belove camelias and honey suckle now make me ill. the pollen is out in full force here
Sometimes I envy those who live in an area that grows just about anything. Other times I am glad as I would have so many more plants, flowers, trees and shrubs to maintain!
Yep, we're sure not fans of Sneezing Season and the yellow pollen everywhere, no fun!

The flowers are beautiful and taken at your local garden center/nursery I presume. We have a magnolia tree in our backyard but keep it trimmed low.
Your take on roses at funeral is interesting.
Take care.

Funny enough, I just let out two (make that three) raucous sneezes in the midst of typing this. Okay, now it's up to four. lol I'm sorry that roses make you think of funerals. ~hugs~ I'm blessed to not have attended enough funerals, I suppose. There is so much more I could comment but I've fallen behind reading others' blogs. Heh... Hugs, my dear.
