Christmas Eve Buddy, Lily, Front Door, Tree, Me and the Dog, Mailbox, Sunset and Cup

With all I have been dealing with
all this year and then the sudden, "Okay,
I don't want to lose that house"!
Moving craze, I am still unpacking,
and then here came Christmas!
Taking time to rush around and
pick up gifts for the boys,
the GFs of the boys, finishing up
Hodge Podge gifts and picking
up things for the house, there
are a few things put on the
back burner...
living room furniture!

2.5 weeks before the move,
I gave away my couch and chair,
sold my end tables,
and gave away
lamps, so with that said, I have
been making use of my deck glider.
Can't do placement of things
on the wall till I get the furniture
cause I don't want to put lots of holes
in the wall if I hang then don't like
it there after I get furniture.

So, I have my glider patted with lots
of throws and think blankets. I like
how big the room appears though without!
lol

Anyway, with that said, I was
sitting up Christmas Eve, watching,
Christmas movies but I had
a friend with me.
Little girl was curled up next to mom.

Earlier that day I saw Miss
Mischievous looked like she wanted
to get into something.

With still trying to put things away,
what to keep, what to do away with...etc.
I am trying to make things easy
for the girls, so I stuck the
stool in front of the
window for them to look out.

One of the spare bedrooms is
being set up for the girls.
There cat tree will go in that
room, I have the daybed put
together and litter boxes will
go in there. Just gotta get some boxes
out of there.

I did get the front of the house
ready for Christmas.

Speaking of which, Walmarts
Christmas Clearance on line
was open last night,
So, I ordered this for
next year.

Yay....got my tree for next year.

It was nice to go to Amber's for
Christmas without the drive
yesterday.
This is Emmy Lou
and I yesterday.

I live on a busy road. Busier
than I am used to.
But I am beginning to
feel unwelcome.
Why, before I moved in I placed
my Welcome sign on the
front porch so that was
the first thing I would see when
I moved in.
It got gone.
And Christmas Eve apparently
a car hit my mailbox.

I had planned on moving the mailbox
back off the road anyway but
was not ready have to make the time
to make it happen now.
I am going to the box
away from the road, and have
a pull off for the mailman.
Going to the mailbox will
feel easier for me so I don't
have to step out in the
road to open the box.

Took a nice shot leaving
Ambers last night, Christmas
day.

Christmas Eve Day Amber
and the boys came for a visit.
I went to the mailbox and
had a package. I knew I had
not ordered anything so I was
surprised. I was addressed to me
so, I knew it was meant for me.
I opened it and found this
adorable cup.

While taking this first pic my
grandson said, " Mother EFFIN
Homeowner"!
What?
He was reading the back of
the cup. I had missed that!!
HAHA

The cup came from a friend in
Mass. I have known Gail for
over 20 yrs, but only via
the internet. Met her on a
mom site way back then. When
Clubmom closed, everyone came
to FB. and we all have stayed
in touch.
This was so sweet.

I am hoping you all had an amazing
Christmas.

Pam

Someone stole your Welcome sign!?! That is no welcome at all. Hopefully things settle down for you soon.

We had a wonderful Christmas too. I'm so glad you did too and your kitty enjoying the movie with you was my favorite part of this post.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and a hug to you. ♥

I blurted Jim and Barb's comment out loud. Grrrr... Someone ran over our mailbox while we vacationed decades ago. On the bright side, neighbors told us our metal post punctured the car's fuel tank. Those are lovely pictures at Amber's house and your fur babies look like they're settling in well. Hugs, my dear.

That's a shame about the mailbox. Kind of rude that they couldn't stop and tell you they did it too.
That mug is too funny

Yikes, sorry about the busy street. Good idea about the mailbox. And smart to get furniture especially for the new house.
I'm glad you're getting settled in and the kitties are too. That's awful about the mailbox, idiots!

Wow -- gorgeous scenery. And too bad about the mailbox -- but at least you're not going to have to worry about it. Your cat team was right at hand for Christmas Eve. Next year it will be much different!
