Home/ Funeral Procession/Scrapbook

Answering a question that
was asked a couple of post
ago, Debbie I am moving to
my old childhood home. I
have been able to buy my
brothers out and this is now
mine.You can read that
post here.

The other day I posted this pic and
talked about the brick wall and the
gravel driveway.

One thing I did not share was that
as a child, no clue the age, I jumped
off the top section of that wall. In
hitting the gravel below, my feet
slipped out from under me and I had
to dig gravel out of my knee and elbow!

I can't remember exactly but at one
point a basket ball goal was either
hung above the garage door or between
the sliding glass door (before the french
doors) and the garage door. That was not
really the best set up cause you could
hear that ball hitting the house all the
time.

Today is Friday and I have off so I
am waiting for my hair to dry so I
can load up the car with more packed
boxes. I really need to get this moving,
my rear moving....Things to do.

I do however wish to thank everyone
that comments on what I get done in
a day. I have a great friend that I blog
with and went to school with that is
always telling that I am amazing.
Well, I don't feel that way however
when I stand back looking at what I
managed to get done I am proud of the fact
that I managed to do what I just did!
I push through a lot of my pain, DAILY.
Keep in mind that what I manage do to
takes me so much longer then it would
and did before FIBRO. That part pisses
me off!

I know that several of you have
talked me through how to add
a link to my blog. Well, it is not
working...haha. I need to sit down
and spend time on playing with
this computer. You see I am working
off moms laptop and she has McAfee
on here, a couple months ago it
started blocking all my downloads
and apparently me being able to do
the link think. I can load pics from
a camera however I can't load a pic
from say FB to my files. So the only
way I am doing blogs with pics right
now is to copy image and drop it
in my blog. I just have not took the
mind set to work all this out.
So with that said, here is a link

to go with this pic.

The title on FB for this was ~
Its the Southern Rule to always
pull  over for a funeral procession!

I ask you, in your state/country
do you do this?
Do others do it?
Are you a Northern or Southern state?
Or what country are you in.
I do it, I was taught that way, I
live in the South and I also do
this for firetrucks, police cars
and ambulances.

One more thing before closing...
Amber took all the LOVE NOTES
she got from you folks, FB folks,
family and friends and made scrapbook
pages of them. She put them in a
scrapbook and gave it to Will.
He was so touched he teared up
(SISSY...haha). He read each one.
THANK YOU.  Also, my sissy
remark is all in fun, I am always
picking at him.

You all ROCK!
Pam

Good for you for getting so much done! I am proud of you and as someone that lives with pain, I understand completely.

We always pull over for a funeral procession and there are usually cops by red lights, etc., that let the procession through and keep the lights green for them. We live in WI. xo Diana
Ouch! Gravel in the knee and elbow doesn't sound like any fun at all!

Would a pictorial explanation of how to make a link help? I could do that and email it to you. I should have time to do that Sunday.

We don't generally pull over for funeral processions. (I've not seen many of them, probably could count them on one hand.) They generally get police assistance to stop traffic lights, though. I saw a long one of those once. (We do pull over for police, fire, and ambulance. Those are a frequent occurrence.)

I live in California and we don't pull over for funerals. We do for fire and police.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

I find fascinating that Liz sees very few funeral processions. That's wild. With multiple funeral homes in every nearby community, there is no way I could count how many I've witnessed.

And I have corresponding stories you might find amusing. Once, supporting a coworker over the loss of her brother, I and some others behind me got cut off by oncoming traffic and left behind during that long country commute. It's a mystery how I found my way (leading the rest!). Then, at a family funeral, I somehow parked in the wrong space and my vehicle didn't receive a flag. And, you guessed it, I got left behind again.

Best wishes, my dear. ~hugs~ And thanks for all the fun comments.

I'm trying to remember about the funeral procession. I know that they are allowed to go through traffic lights and oncoming traffic has to wait. But I'm not sure about passing them.

This is a splendid post, Pam. And yes, you do push through the pain -- and I hope take breaks when you need them. I'm sure the work helps heal the heart in many ways.

Normally around here there is a police escort for a funeral procession and if one is coming you let the entire procession through.
