Snow and Paintings

High today 59
Low in the wee early
hours in the morn., 19.

Chance of snow.
Yeah right, they have been
calling for about 2 inches but
this morning things have changed,
chance of a dusting!
CRAP.

Yesterday I got to looking around
in my mom's basement.
Oh my, the things she kept.

When I was in the 12th grade I
painted two paintings. One I showed
a few post ago. I have wondered where the
2nd one went. I found it in a plastic
bag sealed up on a shelve in
the basement.

I was so happy to find it.

Over a yr ago I painted Melissa's
(friend) daughter a unicorn.
When I met with Melissa the other
day I had that for her daughter
Emily. Here is a pic with it
hanging in Emily's room.

So...what is the weather like where
you live?

Wonderful that your mom kept your work. The unicorn is lovely too.
Those are nice paintings! It's gonna be darn cold here in the South.
You paint beautifully. My little 7 year old granddaughter is into unicorns. Oh my does she love them. Well, chilly in my neck of the woods this morning. We had some heavy rain last night. In Florida one never knows what we will get. Stay warm. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I love that Unicorn painting, Pam. And you might get snow! I bet it was hard and sentimental going through some of your mom's stuff in her basement. That could bring back so many memories for you. If you do get snow, please do a post about it. I don't get to see it here. : )

Fun unicorn painting and nice that your mom kept your art work.

It is close to ZERO degrees here today and we have 6" of snow on the ground so far and it is supposed to snow all day. The bonus? I didn't go in to work today! xoDiana

No, you don't want the answer to that question. So, I won't discuss the weather. Great paintings.

Winter in the NE.......Snow.....Sun.....Cold....Icy under last light snow.....

So when you wish for snow, and are disappointed, remember the ice, which we get... ,-)

I'm wondering who will deal with all the items, in your mother's home? I imagine it will be sold. So thus, it will have to be cleaned out.

Being an only child, I had to clean out our 2 story family home, by myself. Hell-on-wheels! Thankfully, I am not one to load up on "things-to-keep." Very few made the cut.

It taught me, to not keep "stuff." :-)

And not to expect our kids, to Keep Anything I Have Kept. It can all go to the dump, as far as I am concerned. I'll be gone, and it won't bother me. LOL

My husband is not the same though. -sigh- But that's their problem, not mine.

Yes we have a will, and things are spelled out. :-)

Awesome paintings. You're very talented.
The weather here is COLD. We've had snow, rain and freezing temps. There's a winter advisory in effect from Wednesday through Thursday. I think it's for the seriously frigid temps

It's always fun to find treasures from the past. We recently cleaned out a bunch of my mom's treasures and I found some of my old letters to her. So fun to read what was going on back then...

Good Morning Pam, don't worry about going on about the things you've been dealing with lately. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, and I always like when blog friends talk about their lives, cause it's like we're communicating through our blogs. I know this must be such a hard time for you right now taking care of things after your mom's passing, and not feeling well at the same time. Stay warm and cozy inside when the cold temps. come your way. It's been pretty cold here too, and I hear more rain is on the way. Take care, Pam.

How is it like here, you ask? Well, it's not this bad yet (just below zero wind chill) but tomorrow it's not supposed to get above zero and -35 wind chill. Needless to say, I'm hibernating! You do too -- you've got to recover!
