Childhood Homes, Ark. Trip...again, and Shopping,

Remember the painting I did of my
childhood home?

My sis in law liked it so much that
she asked if I would do her
childhood home, her mom passed
a few months back.

So, of course I did.

When I sent her a text pic of it,
she said this...
The pic below is what
I painted from.
Back to Ark pics.
The backup camera on Kim's car
is amazing.

The fire pit that we wanted to
roast marshmallows over but there
was a ban on fires.

Here is where we stayed.

I love a good flea market.

This was the type of camera
I started out with, age
11 or 12.

We had some lunch here at this
Mexican place after the bathhouse.

Gotta see if I can get my
sis in law to cut me one of
these out.

I actually have a bunch of
this pattern in this glass, saved
from early teen yrs. This stuff used
to come in oatmeal boxes.

Went in this really beautiful store,
where the prices were really
more than I spend on things.

Kim actually bought these
pants, and a shirt.

These bling things are great, yes,
I will prob try to make some.
They are made by the owner of the store.
They slip on to the end of your
shirt to gather it up.
But she also made necklaces.

I love BLING.

Beautiful shirts that I
loved, but like I said, I prefer
not to pay more than I would get
at Wally World for less.

I so want to get a bedazzler kit and start
bedazzling my stuff.
lol

Many, many times I felt like
yelling out that phrase many times
since I retired.

Did I buy anything on my trip?
Well, let's just say I don't do
souvenirs. I do make it a point
to try and pick up keyrings where I
go. So I did get a couple.
Don't mind grabbing a tshirt
here and there, but at the
prices that places ask fro them
now a days, not so much.
