Zebra to Bears, Painting, To Nashville, Jim Hagans, Headed Home, and Puke

If you were a follower of my
blog last year around this time you will
remember ED, the Zebra and got
out and ran for a week or so around
Middle TN.
Well, this year, it's not Ed.
Not even a zebra.
It's bears.
Yes, BEARS!
This is not something that middle
TN is used to seeing. Maybe up in East
TN. up around the Mts. but
not populated places of Middle TN.
There has been reports of one in
Lebanon TN, Wilson Co.
Where my older brother lives which
is one and a half hours away.
They have also had reports of a different
bear in Davidson Co.,
But surprise, three days ago there
was one spotted in Nunnelly, Dickson and
yesterday this one in Burns.
Burns is just a hop, skip and a jump
away from Nunnelly.
But, wow, one in Nunnelly also.
Crazy stuff.

This is what the lady put on her
FB page in Burns.
This definitely a first for us! We have a lot of wild life,
but I do NOT want to see this guy in my yard again!!!
I wanted to share that the Black Bear is now in Burns
near Spencer Mill Road! This is 100% real!!!
Not AI!!! 20 feet from my front porch!!

And with bears being the topic of
Tennessee these days everyone
has to play it up.
Here are some fun pics.

A few weeks ago a woman came
to the house when I was outside,
her name is Vicki. She told me that
her and friends get together
and paint on Wed. mornings.
I went last Wed.
This is me having to leave
early because I had an appt
for booby smashing time.

However, I had to make another
appt cause I missed this one.
Not because I was late but
because I was made to be late.
Troppers and Sheriffs
office had someone pulled over,
right in the one and only entrance
to the building I had to get to.
Sitting for over 15 mins before managing
to get in there, I was late.
I was given another appt on Sat.
So that is done.

I finished up my paniting
on Sunday night.

Yep, I can do these things at home.
I don't need a class, I usually teach
a class, but it was nice
to be painting with others again.

This was me following and following
Vicki to paint on Wed.
About 45 mins out.
When I got out of the car, I told
Vicki that I thought to myself on
what I was going to say to her,
"I don't know you well and I was
wondering if you were taking me way
out to get rid of me cause you
were a serial killer."

Friday, such a beautiful day it was.
I headed out to Nashville for
a memorial.
A friend, a talented photographer,
and a good man left us a couple
of weeks ago.
Jim was entombed at the VA
grounds the Friday before but his wife
had a really nice memorial
for him for those that could not
attend the entombment which was
small, and with just family
and close friends.

I met Jim many years ago through
Jed (Photo Service boss),
and Theresa aka T.
Both pictured below.

Jim loved his Ski, which you can't
get in Tn. But Theresa managed to
get a bottle to bring for Jim's wife.

There were a lot of folks
there and everyone loved Jim.

I have not seen Jed in about
10 yrs. So, it was nice to see him again.
This is him, T and me.

FYI....Jed is a lot taller
than in this pic. He bent his knees to
be able to fit in with T and I, that
are so short.

See the knees? He is a tall one.

Afterwards T, Nancy Wise (another friend
through T), Dawn (photo Service),
and two other folks that Jim worked
with at CNN went to dinner at
ML Rose.

My travel home was also
a beautiful one.

RIP Jim Hagans.
It was a pleasure knowing you.

Now to end this blog on a
PUKY
note.

I sort of feel like Lily was
not happy with me on Monday
morning. All the floor around and
she had to use my shoe...
Whatever!

WOW, I'm glad we haven't had any bear sightings here. How fun you went to a painting party!

I'm sorry about your friend. Bear sightings are nothing to sneeze at. We've had some in our area. One bear decided to live in the crawlspace beneath someone's home. And would not come out.

That looks like a lovely memorial gathering. ~hugs~ I sure hope your shoe is waterproof as it appears to be. Our precious little Polly is like a super model keeping her figure by binging and purging. ~sigh~ I'm thankful that she hit the tile this morning. But yuck. Be well and stay clear of those bears, my dear.
