What I Learned, Pool, Flipped, Light Houses, and Day Lilies

What I have learned wince living
in Hickman Co. TN.

1. Unlike where I lived on the other side of Nashville,
people are always giving things away or
putting on the road for someone to pick up

2. Street signs are also different, where I come
from you have the name of the street you are turning
on but you can also view below it or above it,
the name of the street you are on. Here, the one
you are on is not noted

3. People out here cannot park worth crap

4. There are no good looking people, no
guys, no knock out pretty girls
This county don't know how to
grow them

5. Here if a road does not have Ave., Rd., or
St. listed after the name, it is not a road.
A lane is a narrow, mostly gravel or dirt
path to a few or several homes.
A street named after someone,
is usually the same.

6. Here, people get street signs for
their driveways, not
sure how it gets passed through the
government but it does

7. Hickman Co. wants no growth

8.Stores here, businesses here all
close at 5

9. Some businesses only operate on
Thursday, Friday and Sat.,
I can only figure they must own
that building otherwise, not sure
how they can afford the rent

10. Folks here think beans poured
from a can is country cooking

11. An the most important of all~
does a tree that falls in the forest make
a noise if you are not there to here it...
YES. I was not in the woods but with the
ice storm I stood on the porch
and listened to all the trees,
limbs and branches hitting the ground.

I am sure there are more, I have just not
made a mental note of them.

Tuesday, temp was 80 degrees but
with no humidity. I needed to get out,
I needed to go somewhere. I needed
Vit D sunshine on my skin and not while
out in the yard working.
I had a plan.
I headed out.
I went to the pool.

I soaked up some sun and it
felt
AMAZING!
According to my sources,
Hickman Co. had a pool till
about three yrs ago.
I figure that was prob one thing
that the county government let
go of due to up keep.
So, I went to the next county which
is Williamson Co., one of our richer
counties.

Heading home I got held up in
a traffic accident.
I was several cars back and did
not see what happened but
the fire department, which is
all volunteer, took these pics.

Looks like to me the car
hit the truck and flipped.
All reported to be ok.
Yeah, I have learned something
else. If you register your name and
number, when there is something
like an accident, power goes out etc...
you will get a text. Davidson Co.
being so big, that was not a thing.
I got the text, could have avoided
it, HOWEVER, I don't look
at my text when I am driving.

I love learning and Liz, I did not
go down a rabbit hole with this one,
it sort of came to me over
FB.

I have NO clue.

Tennessee Has Lighthouses You Won’t Believe Exist and This Road Trip Hits Them All

On my way home from the pool,
I stopped at
Wally world to pick up
some items.
Those items being,
heavy lining for the pond,
a pump, tubing, some clay pots
(since I don't have the cast iron
pump yet). I sort of threw it together
but I was trying to get the wagon leveled
with rocks and such but had
to stop,
even though I had on bug bracelets,
I started to become an evening meal.
So, I came in.

It is really hard to tell in
this pic but it is so pretty as you
drive by.
Day Lilies along the road...
LOTS of them, in front
of a cow field.

So pretty when you top the hill.

Have a great day,
Pam
