Water Feature, Walking Stick vs Witch Broom, Plants, Evie and Brodie,

For days now I have tried to work
outside and finish some started projects
and with hopes of starting more.
BUT...
The heat moved into Nashville, then
the rain.
A weeks worth of rain. Three days
ago I poured out the gauge at  inches
and since then we have had even more.
I will check the gauge again in
the morning.

Friday, I told you that I worked
in the rain in the yard, that way
the heat is not so over powering.
Would you believe, wearing a tank top,
I actually got sunburned shoulders.
Not bad, but the pink is there.

Off and on rain again Sunday, only
I just did not have the energy
to get out and do anything.
I lied, I moved the wagon out
from under the deck and placed
the monkey grass in front
of it.
WOW....such hard work.
Here is my plan, I am going
to get a liner for the wagon, then
a solar pump to make a water
feature.  I will place plants
around it to make it look prettier.
Going to line the wagon with river rock
also.
What you do no see is that I have
two of these that come out of
the ground, right under that
wagon. They feed off my gutters keeping
water away from the house.

UPDATE on wagon water
feature, talking to my SIL
Lori, and she actually has an
antique iron pump that she
is giving me for the water
feature. She has two, both
were her dads. She told me
that she did not mind sharing
with me since they were her
dad's and he loved me as
much as her.
He dad was the greatest.

They just sort of stick out there,
and I wanted something else so you
don't see them.
I hope to dig a shallow ditch
from the wagon down to the
ditch at the trees.
Planning on lining that ditch
with a liner and then adding
large rocks to make a dry river bed.
Course it will not be dry when it rains but
it will help to move the
water down and out of the yard.
Still need to put the
hammock frame out on the
other side of the wagon and
what will become the dry creek.

Managed one other thing Sunday,
that was to move some
limbs from the top of the
tree that came down in Jan. I have
it all cut up but not burned yet.
Since I made a firepit Friday
from free brick my grandson
Caleb picked up for me, I filled
the pit. Problem, wood to wet to
burn but at least its plied in there.
After adding the sticks and limbs
to the pit I sat back in a chair,
and looked over to see this
image.
Thinking this would make a great
walking stick or witch broom, but
it looks like the stick part has damage
from bugs or what nots.
But, that head of the animal
I will have to keep.

I know I have shared already, but
after today's rain, this jumped
up even more.

Saturday evening. I ventured over
to Amber's for dinner,
chicken quesadillas and to visit
with three of the six great grands.
I failed to get a pic of
Beckham cause I am here to tell
you, that boy don't stop.
But here is sweet Evie.

And Brodie Boy.
This little one laughed and laughed.
At one point when I had him
in my lap standing (4 months old) he
laughed with a big ole open mouth and
threw his head back laughing.
This little one sleeps
very little and he startles so
easy.
I love my greats.
