Question about a Block, Is it ADHD or FIBRO, JAP BEETLES, Growing Around, Poison or Not, Turtle, Fred, Snake and Chipmuck

 Question...

Do you call these

Cinder Blocks
Concrete Blocks
Cement Block
or
Brick o Blocks?
Or, do you have another term for
them?

I have referred to them as Cinder blocks
before but that is not what I really call them.
I basically call them concrete blocks, or cement blocks
but grew up calling them Brick o Blocks.
Where I learned the term Brick o
Blocks, not a clue!

Do you ever wonder where I come
up with things to blog about?
The question above came about
when I was working in between rain
showers the other day and this is
how my mind looks if you could see it.
My body might not be able to hold
out to do all the designing, creating,
planning or working but my mind
is a jumble mess of stuff going on.

The blocks came about when I looked
over and saw two concrete blocks I have
in the yard, I went from having to
move them to do I have anything
I can use them for right now,
to what are they called!
And, with that said, thoughts move
around in my mind so fast its
like being on a race track hitting
almost 200 miles per hour.

That leads me to a question that
Liz asked on my post couple
days ago.
Question ~
I was just watching a reel on FB where
someone was talking about ADHD and these
research rabbit holes. How it's a dopamine hit,
to find all that new information. So... ADHD?

Not diagnosed but about a year ago when
I started down several rabbit holes about
my low vit D, B and Iron, I ran across
reels on FB about ADHD in women,
diagnosed late in life.
Keeping in mind that with Fibro, my
mind is always all over the place.
In flare ups, thoughts move around
in my head so fast that I can't keep up
and at those times anyone in a conversation
with me, has a really hard
time following my thought process.
But, in the RABBIT HOLE, and reading
about adult women with ADHD, watching
reels and learning, I am totally
convinced that I have lived my whole
life with it, and looking back to
my childhood, teen life and even
my adult life, it would explain a lot
of things.

When I saw the nuro doc and had the
MRI of the head, and by the way,
they found a brain, I asked him about
the possibility of finding out and he wanted
to get to the issues at hand at that
time to come back to my question later.
I have not gone back and I keep asking
myself, what does it really matter,
I will not go on meds for it. I figure
I have lived this long with it, and
this late in life, is it worth it?
I would personally like to know what
a medical doc thinks but again, there
is no real test to find out.
Then if I had it, I would want
to share with mom, that would explain
so much to her, but I am sure,
looking down from heaven, she would
know.

Japanese Beetles.

I was out in the yard earlier on Monday,
and saw none of these THINGS.
Later I went out and they were
on my tomato plants and my Crepe Myrtle.
I ran right in and mixed up
the DIY spray of water, dish liquid,
and veggie oil.
Took care of them, need to check on
them again in the morning.

Monday it was one rainstorm after
another. I would go out and play some
in the yard between rains but
lightening sort of put a damper
on that.
I checked on the gauge Monday evening
and it was topped out at 12 inches in two days.
ENOUGH!

Wow, I need to hire a photographer,
this is a horrible pic.
This is also the very first flower
to bloom in the wildflower bed.

Not knowing what all I threw in there
I had to ask google about this one.
It is a Linaria reticulata Flamenco aka Toadflax.
Okay, so I have never had this
flower before.

Just another shot of the wildflower bed.
Tired of watching my plants grow in here yet?
I am a little confused, most of this look
like marigolds and that is not what
I planted. Guessing we will see,
together as it grows.

Isn't this pretty. You know I
tend to go for the purple but I did not plant this,
and matter of fact, this pic is from
the internet. But it is a
Wild Bergamont.

I scanned this plant in pic
below growing in my
backyard bed
and again, not sure what I
had growing there. That's the fun
of just having folks give plants, digging
them wild out of the yard and replanting
them or throwing out seeds, you might
not be sure year after year what you got.
But anyway, Google tells me
that this can either be
a Toothed Spurge aka Green Poinsettia,
or a wild Bergamont
or a Fringes Loosestrife. I personally
would be happy with it being a wild
Bergamont which is aka Bee Balm.
Pretty sure it is not a Green Poinsettia
cause I have pulled a lot of those
from the yard and this is a lot taller,
and don't really look the same.
Guess we will wait on this one
also to see what it blooms.

In the yard, WILD.
A Carolina Wild Petunia.
So, I got my little travel size
shovel and dug this baby up.
I planted it in a pot. I need to make
these plants so I am not struggling
so much next yr wondering, "Did
I plant that"?

course I know a Day Lily.
I only have orange no yellow.

I planted this back near the tree line.
That is not Poison Ivy around
my day lilies it
is Virginia Creeper.
I need to weed some of it
down but since I know its not
Poison Ivy, I am good.
This is Poison Ivy
Poison Oak

And then we have the Virginia Creeper.

Ever hear the saying,
3 leaves let it be
5 leaves you are fine.

I love this plant.
This is a Spiderwort.
Okay, I hate spiders, but this is
to pretty to hate cause of a name.
And, seriously, do spiders get warts?
I often wonder where these names
came from.

This plant grows with no effort
at all. I literally do nothing with it.
It returns to share its beauty
every year. I have several places where
this is growing and I would not care
if I took over the bed. I have had it
get really big but these are all
just a year old, plants from friends.

I was over between the yards
Tuesday morning checking on the Milk
Weed plants. They are on neighbors
land but she is fine with me harvesting
seeds when these finish blooming. That
is what I am looking for,
these plants going to seed.
Then again, I might just order some
seeds to put out in the fall.
Thinking of a space beside the
wildflower bed which will draw
butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.
Why there, easy, I want to maybe
do a bed about the size of the wildflower
BED and plant nothing but
milkweed for the Monarch.

Anyway, I was going somewhere with
the fact I was in the neighbor's yard,
see how my mind is usually all over
the place? There, did it again,
anyway, I saw this guy when I was over
there. First turtle I have seen
in or near my yard.
Found a shell of one last yr up
by the mailbox, but no turtle.

Course you all met Fred.
If I only have the one, then
at the beginning of spring, he was
living under a railroad tie that is
around the driveway, but I got
to missing him.
Then I was out in the backyard and
his dude above almost landed on me when
he jumped.
Since then, I found him in the back again
but on the other side of the house.
Course I know there could be and prob is
more than one. I did see a baby a couple
weeks ago, bout an inch big.
But anyway, when I walk, my eyes
are on the ground, do not wish to step on
Fred or his relatives, but then again,
I fear stepping on a snake also.
Speaking of snakes,
my neighbor sent me this last week.
He hubs is always in the workshop building
cabinets and just outside the garage door
was this one. Rat snake but for me, it
is not where it should be!
Pretty sure this is the one that
I heard russelling around in the leaves
at the entrance of the woods last spring,
before I had all that cleared off. I wondered
where this went.
oops!!

Not seen the chipmuck in a few days
either, but with it so rainy its
a wonder anything came out.

Oh, and Liz, I went searching
again,
it appears that Fred
is not a frog, he is a toad.
Never to old to learn.

Is that what bergamot looks like? It's one of the scents in one of my body washes (I alternate scents), and I like it, but I'd never seen the plant it came from.

Okay, from here on out I'm assuming you're ADHD. Too bad we're not friends on FB as there are a couple people on there that talk about it and have interesting takes on it. It's nice to have community, you know? Feel less alone. (I'm neurospicy, too, I've figured. And I've decided not to pursue a diagnosis as why do I need one?)

I've always called those cement blocks. I think I have heard that saying about 3 leaves let it be.
