ADHD, Old Woman, Cat in a Box, Water Feature and Gutter Control

I might be posting this
out of order, that is the problem
with me blogging and storing a
head...lol

The other day Liz asked a question =
I was just watching a reel on FB where someone
was talking about ADHD and these research
rabbit holes. How it's a dopamine hit, to
find all that new information. So... ADHD?
Liz did not ask anything that I had
not questioned before but only in the past
year. I scrolled to a reel on FB about a  yr
ago that was talking about women
finding out they have ADHD late
in life. Some of the issues, signs and
symptoms mentioned made me
wonder. The more I researched things
the bigger the rabbit hole got and the
more I learned and questioned.
Having that would explain so much
of my childhood and my life now.

After her question I went more
into that hole. For those that don't
know about ADHD or ADD, just
like Fibromyalgia, there is no blood test,
no x-ray or scan that tells you if
that is what you have.

However, there are screenings to tell you
if its possible. I found a few on line.
The questions in the first two really
did not apply to me.
But this is what I scored in the first.

Home - ADDA - Attention Deficit Disorder Association

First, this is not an ADHD diagnosis. This is just a screening test.

Your ADHD Test score is 1471

ADHD Screening Result: If your score is more than 1399, you have symptoms commonly associated with ADHD. (At least according to the information you provided us.)

The second was to see if you

could be neurodivergent.f

Your Results Are Ready

Broad Neurodivergent Profile

Your overall score is 89%. Strong traits across ADHD, Autism, and Rejection Sensitivity — a complex, layered profile.

This one seemed to ask questions that applied to me more.

HIGH LIKELIHOOD
36of 36

What should I do next?

Based on your responses, you show a high likelihood of Adult ADHD. We strongly recommend scheduling a comprehensive evaluation with a licensed professional who specializes in ADHD.

Like I told Liz, I would like to
know so that I might find some answers.
But at 66 yrs of age, not planning
on adding any drugs to my list, what is
the real point of knowing.
However,
it would also be one more
thing added to my growing list of
crap.

It would also explain my son
having ADHD. But then I wondered how
my daughter missed out. In which the
internet can skip a generation and
go to the next, explaining Caleb and
Braden having it.

Problem, I have no clue where
I would have inherited it. Maybe
I got it when I stood in line
for body parts but I got in
the wrong line, I got body parts
that were being destroyed cause
they were bad.
At least that is what my mom said.
She also thought I was a hypochondriac,
which later she realized I was not.
She also said that if anything health
wise can be different, strange or out
of the ordinary, it will happen to me.

With that said, there is this.
Only difference, I don't have plants
inside. They tend to not do so well
in as they do for me outside.
Why? I can water them all outside
with a hose I pull behind me,
inside, I sort of forget to water, until
I walk past and they whisper
in their dying voice,
WATER!!

I got something I ordered last
week and took it to the deck
to open it.

Lily jumped right in, and every time
I go out on the deck she is in there so I
don't have the heart to throw it out.
Lily is my box cat, Misty, not so much.
But you put a piece of paper on
the floor and Misty is
right there sitting in the
center.

I have showed you the wagon
water feature that is in
the works. It is going to set right
above the two under ground
things that feed off the gutter.
However, that area stays wet after
the rain for a bit so I am
in the process of taking
care of that also.
The underground gutter
things pop out of the ground
so, I am doing this to that spot and
feed it right into the woods.

I got the lining in the wagon on
Thursday, got a makeshift
fountain made but the pump
I bought is just not doing the
job. I got a fish tank pump
but now I have one of order
that is for a pond, that should
work lots better.
Can't wait. I seems every project I
start has to be put on hold for
one reason or another. I have about
five in the yard started that I
need to finish up.
But, that is life I guess, or at least
my life.

Happiness to you all,
Pam

Lily is way cute in that box. We don't throw them out if one or the other kitty wants to be in the box.

Have a fabulous day and the week. ♥

Brave of you to take these tests!
ADHD...at this point just let Lily and Misy help you deal with it. Your drainage area looks terrific!

There aren't really drugs for ADHD. I've heard caffeine can be helpful. But you just want to know how your brain works. I've found some influencers who talk about it and might have some good info for you:

Interesting tests. I like the idea of the stream for the water runoff.

What a beautiful project. And like you, I have better luck growing plants outside. It didn't dawn on my that the natural lighting isn't great when we purchased the house. But after a long real estate search with two different realtors, I wouldn't have changed my mind had I known. lol Best wishes! And apologies for falling so far behind reading.
