Mother Day Love, Psycho Mom, and Skinks
Just finished up yesterday's blog and
posted it and getting a
head start on today's.
This was Mothers Day...
Misty must have known it
was a special day so she
is giving me some special loving.
About the time she reached
4, she stopped being a cuddle bug so
I take the cuddles when I can.
She says, "mom can't be serious,"
but if you notice, her face NEVER
changes, she is the serious one.
Lily's eyes show all sorts of things making
her facial expression change depending
in her mood.
Speaking of Lily,
my Mothers Day gift from her
was she allowed me to lay beside.
LOL...
I don't joke.
Not only do I battle catitude
there is that tori mix in there
also.
I can see my kids saying this.
I have some railroad ties that
lay along side part of my driveway.
I have a frog living under there.
I had to stop the mower one day
and again the next the weeder, to
get him out of the way.
Then the other day while messing with
stepping stones,
I had a tiny baby frog jump
out in front of me.
It's only about an inch long.
But it's the skinks
that are funny. They run anytime
one sees me, but lately that seem
to be darting out in front of
me and of course, I jump.
This afternoon, walking at to
the shed this guys is sitting
right on a stepping stone
and in no hurry to move.
T
Google tells me that this skink is
a five lined skink.
allowing me to
bent closer to take a pic of it.In Tn. we have five
different kinds of skink.
I got them from Google.
These are the five types of
skinks found in Tennessee.
This is a Coal Skink
Five Lined Skink
Southeastern Five Lined
Broad head skink
Little Brown skink
And if that is not enough, I
have had a bunny under the shed one
year. But a week ago, I was
stepping out of the screen part
of the deck to the porch when I
saw movement, moving fast.
I did not get a pic but it was
a
chipmuck and he
ran under the shed.
Course, the girls would have
a ball in the yard.
Lily would anyway, Misty has
no desire what so ever about
stepping out of her
comfort zone.
Do you have skink where you live?
What about chipmucks?

Plant prices are high. Ugh... I'm thrilled to have five tomato plants started from seed and hope they produce lots. ~fingers crossed~ Meanwhile, I'm glad you agree about not disturbing a sleeping pet, which Dakota no doubt enjoyed. :) The King, who we all miss, liked watching squirrels, didn't he? I knew they could climb walls like other rodents but it was fun to witness firsthand.
Be well, my dear.
Love the shots of you and the kitties.
I love lizards. They bring good luck and we have lots of them.
Have a fabulous day and week, Pam. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥
