FlowerBED, Right vs Left or Left vs Right Foot, The Bite, Passing Bad Genes,
The WILDFLOWER
bed is looking good.
The flowers are popping up
already and they are
growing fast. However,
although what I threw out was
a mix of flowers that I mixed, only
two types of flowers seem to
be coming up.
Last yr it seemed to take
FOREVER
before things started to show,
so I am hoping different
plants will find its way to
the outside world.
Not only flowers, I have a couple
of these popping up also.
weeds grow, and yet I have areas
where I still can't get grass to grow.
Those of you that have been
following me for awhile know that
I am sort of like an
accident just waiting to happen.
Well, this happened when I was
hanging brackets for the
solar lights on the shed.
I dropped a bracket and on
its way to the ground, it hit
my right foot.
Here you will see the left
foot. The little sores happened
when walking around the
yard in flippers.
Either a bug, or grass
brushed across my foot causing
me to itch and even though I
keep nails really short,
I broke the skin scratching.
That however is a given,
and not where I was going with this
story.
Pic below is of my right foot,
bruised.
That bracket really hit
and had me saying a
couple of choice words.
But, the foot
adventure did not stop there.
Monday night Misty found
a grasshopper on the deck,
which of course ended up in
the house, which of course mom
had to rescue and put outside.
Coming back into the kitchen, Misty
did what she does all the time
and very well, ran up to get
in front of me, then slowed
down, in what time I stepped
on her.
This is what I got for
not seeing her and
stepping on her.
She bit the shit out of me.
Keep in mind up near the toes
are the scratch marks I already
had on my foot, the marks
in the red patch, are thanks
to Misty.
I cleaned it, perxoided it,
soaked in hot water with
epsom salt and bandaged up
with polysporin on it.
Apparently, I did a good job,
no infection.
SERIOUSLY!
Mom used to tell me that she could
put me in a padded room and I would come out
with bruises all over me.
With that said, she also used to say that
if anything "HEATLH" wise,
that is odd, it would be me that
would get, have and whatever!
With that said, back in Aug. I had a
genic testing done of a certain gene in
my heart. You see, my dads side of the family
carries that gene. I have traced it back to
my great granddaddy, grand, and my dad.
Apparently, my older brother Ray got
that gene, his son got that gene and
things moved right to my great newphew.
Because it runs heavy in the family
and Amber was having racing heart
issues, we wanted to know.
Because I am older and not
likely to throw up red flags when
looking for insurance it was best
to test closest to the source and me being
closer than Amber anyway, I was tested.
I DO NOT HAVE THAT
GENE. Meaning, I can't pass on
what I don't have.
Amber and Cory are fine,
Caleb, DJ and Braden are fine
and Felicity and Kyler will be
just fine.
On my moms side of the family,
Alzheimer's.
When my vit D, B and iron dropped
a tad to low, like dangerously low,
I had shakes, and I was forgetting
everything.
Nuro doc wanted to do an MRI.
That test showed no evidence
of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's (dads
mom had this). YAY!
Another not something I past
to my kids, grands or greats.
Now, moms side also carries the
diabetic gene. I have it, under
control, no meds. My younger brother
went to the doc, they tested it
was 8. something. High for a man
that eats right and exercises several
times a day.
Guessing he was just prone to get.
Point to this whole conversation...
Ray got dad's gene
Mark got moms gene
and
I
got
EVERYTHING
ELSE that
can go wrong!
lol
She always told me that when the
yell went out to tell everyone to
get in line for body parts, I got
in the line where the parts were
being thrown out cause they were defected.
YEP....that's me,
defected body parts.
Gotta love moms!
With that said, I had
a doc appt. on Wed.
It was one of those things that
showed up on my patient portal
that it was time for my Medicare
wellness check.
With that I learned that my
bone density test showed improvement.
No longer considered osteoporosis,
I am back to the stage before that,
osteropenia.
WHAT?
Something going right for me?
haha..
For three yrs, once a yr I took an
infusions, Reclast.
Apparently, that helped.
I also learned that women after 65.
do not have to have a pap smear anymore!
WHAT?
YAY!
Now, if I could be told no more
dentist, I would be happy.
Pap smear, no more open wide!
No dentist would be another
open wide!
lol
Sorry, could not help it.

The other day I made breakfast and started a load of wash in my bare feet. I got in the shower and looked down and the top of my foot was bleeding. No clue what I did and it didn't hurt. By the next morning it was black and blue. At least you knew what you did, lol.
Your poor foot. I had something similar with my hand with a puppy bite...had to go to Urgent Care-one little canine tooth at the base of my thumb and my whole hand blew up overnight. It's okay now-but a bit scary when it happened.
Have a great weekend- xo Diana
