Families, Traditions, Elf, Amber, Cory and Alistur and Felicity

 Families grow year after
year, you gain and you lose
members along the way, but
the generations keep on growing.
This is my mom, me, Caleb
and his mom, Amber at school when
we went to eat with him on his
7th bday.

This is Amber, her son Caleb, me
and Calebs first born, Felicity.

One member gone and another
taking her place.
That is how generations grow.

The pics above were taken 23 years
apart. Now keep in mind, 23 yrs ago,
my hair was out of a bottle. Not near as
gray white as it is in the other pic,
but I was in the habit of hitting the
bottle on a regular basis.

Members change, traditions
go away, more come to light.
What is a really cool tradition
that you still do now that your
parents did when you were a kid?
What is a new tradition that
you do with your kids that you
adopted?

Like for instance, we never did
a hide a pickle tradition

 when
my kids were young. But moving on
to adult life and marrying my son
adopted that tradition with his
in laws. It is not always a pickle but
a fancy, odd, stick it in the tree and
hide that ornament from Mom in Law.
I have not asked Cory if this was a thing
when he married into that family or it
this is something he came up with.

A friend had an old version of the Elf
on the Shelve that she had done
for years with her son. I never even
heard of that till my kids were grown.
I did try and adopt this when
Caleb was little and living with me,
but the home was always
upside down, busy and it got
forgotten by the Christmas Tree
(should have said way side but since
we were talking Christmas...you get it,
right).

My elf on the shelve was like
the one on the end, left side.
Being I am SO BAD at naming
items like homes, cars,
dogs, kids, etc
I went with the nickname I
was given at the TBI,
Tink, always full of adventure and
trouble.
Anyway, no clue what happened to it
after I gave it to Amber.
She is so not like her mom, she
prob figured she was not getting int
that mess.

Not like me at all.
I love dressing up, not her.
I love wearing jewelry, not her,
I like bling, not her,
I play with my hair and change it up, not her,
I like watermelon, not her...
She has more of her dad's blood, I guess.
Cory on the other hand, it's almost
like I spit him out.

Amber more like dad in
general, Cory like dad in looks.

Now to leave you with cutness.
Alistur and Felicity.

Have a great day,
Pam
