Pond, Oz, Park, Allergies
I like this idea but the digging would
do me in.
However, could I not put a pool
on the ground, build rocks around it,
and set it up like this without
digging?
You call know that I am a big
Wizard of Oz fan so of course I
found these articles interesting.
Happy 107th Birthday to Caren Marsh Doll, one of only three people still alive who worked on The Wizard of Oz!
Caren was Judy Garland's Dorothy stand-in for lighting and technical set-ups, helping to ensure that everything was prepared for the principal actors to arrive and film.
She's lived a remarkable life, and we wish her health and happiness for many years to come!
Rest in peace, Valerie Lee Haynes (née Shepard)
Valerie, one of three living actors who worked on The Wizard of Oz, has passed away at the age of 94.
Valerie was 7 years old when she portrayed a Munchkin, and can be seen most prominently as Dorothy skips her way out of Munchkinland. Just look for the blonde Munchkin wearing pink and green!
I was surprised that there was actually
folks alive now from Oz.
But then again, I did not consider
that children as young as
3 yrs. old were Munchkins left.
Sunday was beautiful here, not
hot, not cool, but there was a nice
breeze. With that, I needed to get
out. Camera in hand I headed to
Montgomery Bell Park.
This pic below was shot with
my cell cause as of yet, I have
not loaded my pics to the computer.
long, I had to end it sooner than I wanted it to.
That nice breeze played havock
on my eyes.
Pollen was blowing around
bad. I had tight lungs, runny nose,
and my eyes were so dry I ended
my trip out.
On the way home I stopped
and picked up a brand name
of eye drops which helped for that
evening. I have not had any issues
with the eyes since Sunday.
It was research time.
I take a antihistamine daily for
lungs, seasonal allergies, and
my skin. I can't take pollen when
it settles on my skin. The allergy pills
help, but why did the eyes get
so bad? Apparently, antihistmaines
tend to be more for runny eyes, so
in the long run, they dry the eyes
out. With that being an issue with me
anyway, the meds are not
helping.
They make drops for eyes that have
histmaines that don't dry them out.
But, would that be any good for
my skin, lungs and seasonal allergies?
I tend to play doctor on myself, but
decided at this point, I need to see
a real doc. Appointment Monday.
But, issue, I can't take allergy meds
up to that appointment. Hoping I
can live with that.
And speaking about meds, gotta
get off here and go pick up my
stay awake meds before I curl up on this
daybed and nap.
