Morning, Tail Painting, Misty and Lily Love, Peacock and Holes

 Good morning ole pals!
Yes, I am and always have been
allergic to mornings!

Yesterday I stated that my son works
at a casino in SD County.
Liz was wondering if it is the same
as the one my son works at.
He used to work at Barona but
for the last five yrs he has been
at Viejas. No longer on the floor,
he is doing supervisor duties these
days while he finishes up his college
courses to move on up and out
of casino work.

Sat. Amber and I went to Lowes and
other places running errands.
Funny statement she made though,
"I see now why the kids don't want to
go anywhere with you"!!!!
WHAT?
Only cause I talk to everyone. I just
strike up conversation with anyone
and laugh. Amber is not like that.
haha

Not been painting lately but
for Misty, she must have been trying
to help me at one point.
I have not had the heart as of
yet to wash it off her tail.
It looks so cute to me.

Speaking of Misty and actually
all cats, they do changes along
the way of life. Misty is now
at the age that Lily was when
she stopped cuddling, crawling on
my chest and letting me hold her.
With that, Misty is not doing
near as much as she used to.
I miss it.
However, yesterday I think she
was cold, temps dropped with rain
that moved in on Sat. With that,
I was honored that she wanted
to snuggle.
She also apparently wanted to
touch me!
You all know that Lily
wants love when Lily wants
it and she even wants it where she
wants it.
However, I am breaking her of
standing in the house and
yelling at me to come to the
bedroom, lay across the bed
and rub her head.
She actually crawled up on the
daybed on the deck with me the
other day for some rubs.
Course, I think she wanted
to know mostly if this angle
made her feet look big.
Oh mom, that is like the coolest
drug in the world, I space out
when you love my head.

I have to wonder often what I
would do without the entertainment
of my girls!

Last yr while working in the yard
in the front and the girls had access
to the back deck, I kept hearing
what I thought was Lily yelling
at me. Come to find out it was not.
My neighbor and I have talked about
it and both agreed it was a
peacock. It did not pull up on Merlin but
I went to google and asked for
the sound on a peacock and that is
what we have been hearing.
Gosh, now we both are on a mission
to locate them.
They are so colorful.
I have not read up on them so
I really don't know the personality of
them but somewhere I thought I
heard they were rather mean.
How could something that beautiful
be that mean?

Talking critters, neighbor on the other
side was a mess the other day.
She saw these holes in her yard, only
in the dirt areas. She was afraid they
were snakes, I looked at them and
let her know, not snake.
Not big enough for armadillo,
pretty sure they were not moles,
and I had none in my yard.
She said there were about
60 or more. By the time she freaked
enough to ask me, she had poured
gas down the holes. Her go too.
Thing is, I am pretty sure that
the hole was made by something
leaving, my guess was turtles.
She looked them up and they
appeared to be just that turtle holes.
She was upset she poured gas in the
hole but I assured her, the hole is there
cause they have hatched out.
BUT...I wished she would stop
using gas on those and the ant hills,
and stop straying her weeds with
killer.
But, that is just me.

So not the same casino. It would have been funny if it was. Why would someone pour gas down holes? Yikes. That's just... I mean, really?

Love Misty’s painted tail and Lily’s cuddles--so sweet!
Peacocks in the neighborhood must be amazing to spot.
