Horses, House, Surprises, and Cave,

Bet you will be happy to hear, that I think,
I am done painting for now.
I need to start getting all I have done ready
for the craft show. Pricing which I am still not
sure about, checking to see if I need to cover
up any spots with paint, paint the back of the
door hangers and seal. Seal all the objects
that need sealing, put yard, ribbon,
rope, saw teeth or whatever for hanging.
Wrap and pack.

Anyway, I thought I would paint a pic I
took of some horses.

Keep in mind, what I paint NEVER looks like
what the pic looks like.

Also, keep in mind, when you are sittingBut
up close to a pic you are painting it sometimes
becomes hard to see what is in front of your
face. But before I move on to that let me tell you
about the horse on the right, it was supposed to
be dirty white. That was hell to paint.
And if you notice, it did not stay
white. I had issues doing the shading
and stuff without it taking over.
I decided that it would be brown.
The horse on the left was
already painted brown. Here is where the
not seeing up close, I totally missed
that the nose was REALLY long, but
did not see that till I took the pic and
looked at it.

After that, I took it back to the drawing
board, or in this case, painting board!
I shorthened the nose.
Still was not liking it.

The bottom section of the jaw, seemed too much.
So, I tried again.
Still not there, but I am done.

Thinking I will stay away from horses
for a bit.
This challenged me.

Next, I threw this out one
evening. It is a pic I took yrs
ago as I was driving down a
back road where I lived.
When I posted the pic on FB
a friend, that I used to go to school
with said it was on her property.
I did not know where she lived at
the time. Later on, I became the
feeder, and snuggler with her
cats. She is like the other Pam
from the post yesterday, her name
is Pam also. Us Pam's are the sweetest.
Anyway, I decided that Pam is to get
this painting.
It is on a piece of wood, so I will
need to put a hanger on it.

Moving on to some more painting,
little pieces.
They are called the little surprises
around my house.

This one is on the back door.
If you can't tell, it is one that part of
the door that you don't see, unless you
open the door.
The next one, since I have the quote,
"There's no place like home",
on the front door, I decided the
ruby slippers should also be on the door.

Ivy has been painted on the door
frame going into the washroom.
Some on the bottom and

Some on the top.

But the door had to get the hidden
ivy also.

The coat closet behind the front door.

The linen closet outside my
bedroom.

This was my first piece.
Behind the bathroom door in
the guest BR. Mermaid tails and
an octopus.

I hope that folks that come to stay
will love finding the funny surprises around
the house.
Craft Cave is coming along, SLOWLY.
Back in the fall when I bought the desk to
redo for Amber, I got two iron chairs for
five bucks each. I recovered the seat, and since
I will be sitting a lot crafting, I put extra CUSH
in it.

Painted it purple and put the
cushion in.
I moved my antique kitchen table
into the shed....oh, that is not right,
DJ and Justin his friend moved it
for me.
Also, got them to move the piece I
put together out to the shed. Gotta paint
the sewing machine cabinet and
stain the shelves.

But those pieces have been added.

Trying to get things set up and its
an never ending mess.
lol

By the way, I still have to take pics of some of the
things I have already painted.
LOL

Pam
