Socks and No Socks on White Background, No per Hour, The White Whimscial Forest, The All Bones Family, Angel, Chins and Dakota

This post will actually
be what took place before the
ice storm arrived.

I started showing my decorative,
cool, strange, warm...
socks on FB for a couple of
days, and now all my
friends post theirs to prompt
me to do mine.
I have such neat,
funny and
BRATTY
friends
My friend in Fla.,
Clay posted this today.

What is wrong with him,
there is NO socks in this pic.
but to play along with his silliness
I posted a pic of my foot
today with a WHITE
background also.

Well, the snow event of the season,
across the US came in later
than was expected.
They said around four am but
it was 8 or so. Came in with tiny
flakes but it snowed fast and hard.
I took this at 8:30

9:30

10:30
11:30
the sleet had started about 25 mins before
the last pic. We really did not
get much more than this.

My bare forest looks pretty.
Yesterday I played around with the
thought of introducing my skeletons
to the snow.

I went out shortly after the
sleet started. This is my driveway.

I had to do a snow angel.
Just so glad I can get back up
after getting down there.
I laid down and as I did, I
listened to the crunch of the
sleet cover snow.

Me laying down before making
wings.

Oh my gosh, check out that
chin, and the other one, and the
3rd one!
I am here to tell you that
sleet covered snow not only
has crunch, it is
CoLd!
Really cold!
I ran in, and hit the shower, I
was freezing and my clothes
were wet.

I did manage, before my adventure to go
angeling, to make a pot of chili.
A bowl in which I took the Carrie
my neighbor to share.
My friend from Hermitage, down from
my childhood home was cooking
chili with me, well, the apron she
made for me did.

And for those that remember,
THE KING loved the snow.

He loved for me to toss snowballs
at him and he would catch
them in his mouth, breaking it
up as he did.

He made me laugh.
I miss this boy.

Hoping you all did not
get hit to badly by this wintery
mix of mess.

You were brave to go angeling when you did. It is incredible to see snow so far south where you live, Pam.

Glad January is over.

Sometimes when you see something -- like snow -- it reminds you of things past -- like King. Dogs and snow. They love it far more than I do!

Well how fun making a snow angel. I'm not sure I would be able to get back up without help

Your snow angel is beautiful! My eyes are getting a bit damp recalling stories of Dakota and your mother. Hugs, my dear.
