How Old Were You?, In the Kitchen, and Sweetness
You ever seen those questions or
videos where the person ask,
"how old were you when you
learned _________?
Well, I was 65, looking at 66
when I learned that, after popping
microwave popcorn, you open a
really small section of the sealed area.
turn it over and shake the bag.
This my friends, and I have not
tried it, is to shake out those
kernals that did not pop.
WOW!
You know that I will have to pop
some popcorn and try this.
Also, I recently learned that to make
sausage balls, a the larger end of a melon
ball spoon is great for that.
I was tired of trying to get my balls to
be the same size, so I grabbed my melon
ball thingy and scooped up the mix, slipped
it out and rolled it placing it on the
cookie sheet. Worked great.
Talking about scooping stuff up,
I learned a long time ago that
for filling cupcake or muffin
mix to put in the holder, you use an
ice cream scooper.
Great for cookies too.
Did you know that the top
of a vanilla bottle is a
teaspoon.
Or that when you open a new
bottle of something, and the inside
of the top has a point on it,
this is to stick into the
paper seal on the bottle,
making pulling it off the bottle
so much easier.
Now I ask, did you learn
anything?
haha...
I have also learned that
parchment paper comes
already cut in sheets
for you, so does
foil for cooking!
I am all about making
life easier, and those
two items help.
However, on that note,
I have come to the
conclusion, I need
to stay out of the
kitchen. During the
holidays, I burnt peanut
brittle, made fudge that
did not get hard, made
a horrible soup, broke
several glasses, and
who knows what all.
LOL
Now for those needing
a total sweetness
pic.
Have an amazing
week,
Pam
