Cuddles, V day, Teacher, Weirder, Trivit, Limb, and Blow Ups

Some days this big ball of
fur just wants mom cuddles

The sleeping arrangement on
Sunday night went sort of like
this...
Me, more towards the center
of the queen bed, Misty curled up
between the edge and me,
right at my chest level, my
arm around her, and Lily in front
of my stomach with her
front legs thrown over
my tummy.
I did not have to worry
about getting cold!

Do your pets sleep with you?
How many and where in the bed
do they sleep?

Two days after Christmas I
went to the store and saw
this.

But that was not all,
SPRING stuff is
going out!
We had a few really cold days
here in TN. but not enough to
ever refer to it as winter.

Oh my gosh, the memories.

RIP Ms. Meek.

Ms. Meek, probably fresh out
of school herself was my
3rd grade teacher.
Sweet lady with reddish
brown hair.
And time keeps moving on.

To all my women bloggers that
are somewhat like me....

Back in Nov. (I think it was) that
I emptied out the storage unit and
brought it all to the shed.
I unpacked some things and I
ran across this.

I am assuming it was made for
what mom used it for,
a trivit. This used to sit in the
middle of the stove, between
the eyes of the stove sat and on it
she had a container that held bacon grease.
Yep, I have that container also
put up in the top of my cabinets.

As always, I don't blog about
one thing, I go from this to that,
and all over, that is how my
brain works!
Anyway, I have been keeping my
eye on a limb in my neighbors tree for
about a yr., it  had broken away from
the tree and was just sitting up in the
tree, wedged on other branches.
Couple weeks ago, a little storm moved
in and that limb finally came down,
stuck right in the ground, left standing
up like this.

Okay, so one little limb, and I made
a big old conversation about it..
haha

One last thing...
if you think about it, somewhere along
the line, you read that I am not
a fan of BLOWUPS!
Just don't care for them...
There is an older couple that lives
down on my road that apparently loves
them. I mean really
LOVES
them.

This is only a few of this couples
display.
I would say that there was at least
25, to 30 of these things in their front yard.
Matter of face, there is a spot of land
next to their house and the other house,
assuming it is part of their property but
it was FULL
of these things.

When I was a teen, just cause the
thought crossed my mind as a fun
event, not distructive, I thought it would
be cool to take a pin and pop all those
big balloons that car dealerships attached
to cars for sale.
That thought returned to me when
I past the blowups..
NO,
I would not do it, and NO
I never did it on the cars,
but it don't mean that thought
was not there!

Happy weekend folks,
Pam

Sorry to read about your Barbara passing. Pets sleep in our bed, yes. When we have dogs, they have the run of the house, just as they should. IMO.

I understand the temptation to vandalize. ~grin~ For me, it's been baby Yoda Christmas blow-up decorations. I'm so sick and tired of that stupid character's representation. A confirmed geek, I think there are only three Star Wars movies; the rest is all a waste of time. lol And as for Star Trek, the original and nineties Next Generation series are all I care about.

I must admit that some Halloween inflatables have tempted me. But the high winds often rushing up our back hill don't make such things feasible. What do you think of plastic lighted ornaments? If they follow a theme, I think it's fine. But unrelated cartoon characters, Santa Claus and even creche scenes repeatedly represented seem ridiculous.

A nearby farm goes too far with both Halloween and Christmas decor. ~rolls eyes~ I'll step off my soapbox now. Heh... Hugs, my dear.

If the spring stuff is out, that means my favorite candy, Cadbury's mini eggs, should be coming out. Yeah, they don't give you any time to recover from the last holiday before putting out the next.

Not a fan of blow ups either.
Meanwhile - the branch! Do you think a witch rode it and either crashed or landed there?
I have a spinning mind too!

I will never see a blow-up again without thinking of taking a pin and… lol

Gibbs doesn't sleep with me. I can't trust him in the bedroom while I sleep. I would wake to huge amounts of puddles.
I pass a house every day that also has a ton of the blowup decorations. I've never cared for them either.

Do you find yourself not turning over or stretching your legs when you sleep because you don't want to disturb the cats. Happens here. Amazing this little living body has so much power over me! I'm with you on inflatables. And what's really bad about them is when they sit on the lawn, deflated. So sad.
