Rain to GO, Off to the Park, Lake and Colors, Hearts, Water and Cats
Two days of rain, and then two
totally beautiful cooler days that
called to me to grab the camera and
GO
GO
and guess what, I
WENT!
Getting a bit off the line
of how Thursday went when I
got out with the camera,
causse I went straight to Friday.
I knew with the way our
leaves were looking that they
prop only has a couple days left and
I wanted to catch the colors
I wanted to catch the colors
at the park.
I have been in and out, stayed at some,
and enjoyed a bunch of the state parks
for TN. I have to say, I think Montgomery
Bell State Park is prob one of
our prettiest.
I stopped at one of the lakes
in the park, Grabbed the camera, my walking
stick, and a blanket, and headed to the
water.
I broke through the trees and
stepped out to view the wqter.
Found a nice spot, spread
out the blanket, and tried to gracefully
lower down on the ground in a sitting
position.
I did however, get a bit
off you know distracted from
the blanket and enjoying the sites right
there with me, cause there was
ROCKS!!
And if I have failed to share
this with you, hearts are
still following me around.
This is just a
few I shot.
I did not bring the hearts home,
I left them for someone else to see
I left them for someone else to see
in hopes the site on it will
bring smile.
I will bring them home, if they
are bigger.
I did bring home some fossils I
picked up as I sat there. Crinoid stems by the
handful all around me as I sat. I
did, and it was not easy to do,
limited myself to one blue jean
jacket pocket!!!
Just like that, I snapped
back to that time and place
and remembered I was there for the
view.
After sitting, clicking pics, and
just soaking in the feel, and
site.....I had
to huff and puff back
up this little grade to the
parking lot.
Took my time,
as I huffed and puffed!
I drove around looking at the colors
and enjoying it, took a few more
pics from the drivers seat before
I headed home.
We barely made it to the mid
50's on Friday, but the leaves are falling
all around our feet preparing for the
colder temps to move in. However,
someone in Mother Natures
group of folks is a tad
confused!
My daughter laughs at me
cause I rather have my water
wqrm, room temp.
I had to send this to her
to prove it.
yep, I am one of those people!
Now we shall move on to the
learning section of class.
That’s why the Egyptians worshipped them... science just proved why. 🐈
It might sound mythical, but it’s not. Modern research confirms that domestic cats are among the most biologically perfect creatures on Earth. With a spine that can twist 180° mid-jump, lightning-fast reflexes, night vision six times stronger than ours, and hearing so sharp it captures sounds most mammals can’t detect, cats are nature’s masterpiece of design. Even their heart beats with the rhythm of an athlete, and their brain structure shares remarkable similarities with ours explaining why the bond between cats and humans runs so deep.

But their brilliance isn’t just physical. Cats move through life with precision and emotional intelligence knowing exactly when to comfort, when to observe, and when to vanish into quiet independence. They’re hunters, guardians, and healers all at once... balancing instinct with intuition in a way few species can. To scientists, cats represent the pinnacle of evolutionary balance strength, agility, and sensitivity wrapped into one mysterious creature.
Perhaps that’s why ancient Egyptians saw something divine in them. Thousands of years later, in a world of data and reason, cats still hold a kind of sacred magic. Because perfection doesn’t always roar sometimes, it purrs softly beside you, reminding you that grace and genius can fit inside the same set of paws.
