Seasonal Changes with Lily, Moods, Snuggle Bunny, Blue Tail Skink gets out Alive

 Seasonal changes are coming,
moving in slowly as always,
but coming.
Leaves are falling, not since
fall is close but cause we
are so freak'n dry. Got a little
rain shower on Wed. but, it did not
even register in my rain gauge.

Spider webs are thick, grass is
crunchy, flowers are giving up
the fight, and Lily is doing her
seasonal behavior as fall moves in.
What would that be?
She has started the curling up
behind my knee sort of
thing again and
wanting to be close. Not on me,
not in my lap, but close to me.
This starts taking place every
year around this time.
Not only has that started, I think
she knows that time changes at
some point. This week, she
started waking me at 4. What she
don't understand, it is not bouncing
forward, so 4 will not be 5....
LILY, get with the program!
haha..
Actually, I think the early rise has
to do with me.
You see, with me having been
suffering the last 2.5 months, we
are not playing like normal. She sleeps
and lays around more, with me,
and I think the bust out
all involved waking me up
at four is boredom. I have been
trying to play with her more,
but I think she is playing off my
mood.
I will say though, that
when she lays close and I reach
out to pet her, and those purrs start
low and amp up to some major
purrs, and I lay my head over
on her side, it's amazing.
Not sure if she is trying to
heal her mood or mine.

PURRS!
That sound to me is as
perfect as a baby laughing.
Lily, she has a great purr,
loud and goes on and on.
Misty, you either have to have
your hand on her to feel it
or lay your ear on her. She has
such a low purr..

But if you want to talk
snuggles, Misty is your girl.
I was watching tv in bed last
night and here comes my girl.
She wants on that side of me,
we do this whole routine thing
where she pushes her head into
my hand. I scratch a bit but
she really don't like
the top of her head touched,
she likes the scratching along
side of her neck, then she
will walk forward, till I
can scratch above the tail.
Next, I usually get a butt in the
face and I finally tell her
that is enough. She curls up
in a ball and lays down.
Stretching out comes next.
She will sleep with me
like this for hours.

I usually wake in the wee hours of
the morning, laying like this,
but my arm is thrown over
Misty River.

It's so easy spoiling the furs.
You do something once or twice
and to them, that is a given, the
way it should be from there
on out. It took me forever
to break Lily from wanting
to be rubbed and brushed in
the sink or tub.
Sink for sure as soon
as I started having issues
with a clogged drain. I ended
up taking the stopper out and
installing one that catches hair.
Let's just say, according to my
brush and my drain, it is
a wonder I am not bald.

On Friday, I heard some noise,
I looked over and Lily
was chasing a catch.
I ended up catching it.

I was surprised that it still
had its tail. Most of them
don't get away from my
girls with the tail in tact.

He ran off. Seemed to be okay.

Blue Tailed Skink.

I am glad cause last week,
I never saw the one Lily let run
under the dryer. Then the week
before, I was not aware that
Misty had one till it was
to late and dead in the floor.

Poor babes.

Pets and critters,
fun.
But, getting one out
alive is a win.

Pam
