Canned Goods, Hole in the Log, Colors, Abandoned, and Klyer

Canned food can remain
safe to eat for
 relatively long period after
 its expiration date,
 provided it is stored properly.
 Here are some
 general guidelines:

Canned Foods

Home-Canned Foods

Perishable Foods

wow....
to think of the outdated cans
I have tossed out.

Just a few pics of
somethings here and there.
I would say that this
tree fell cause it had nothing
on the inside to help hold it up.

Bell State Park.

I love the reds, oranges,
and yellows...

Some I knew and some I didn't. Good info to know about how long foods lasts.

Love your fall colors. Wow.

What a cutie pie that baby is. He's most handsome.

Have a fabulous day and week, Pam. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

I threw out a bunch of outdated cans not too long ago. But they had been in the back of my cabinet, and I was never going to use them. It was time for them to go. Did you know the can opener was invented decades after canned foods were invented? One's got to wonder how they opened the cans in those decades.

I've always just gone by how the food looks or smells. I rarely look at expiration dates especially on canned food
Such terrific photos! Kyler is a cutie!
Beautiful photos. ❤️ Thank you for sharing this information about food preservation. I learned some new things.
