Zzzz's, Walk on, Monster, Columbia, Halloween, Charlotte TN,

 Wed. night bedtime.
Lily beat me to the Zzzz's!
Look at the paw all stretched
out.
Wow, how does she get all
twisted up like that?
Laying on her side, but when you
get the head, its tucked and
turned up with an out
stretched paw.
ADORABLE!!!

BUT, just sitting on the couch,
legs bent and tucked up next to
me is hard enough to uncurl from!

Leaving the house the
other day when I looked
over and saw movement on
my purse.

Scared the crap out of me.
I thought at first, spider, cause
that is what I always think.

I have been painting up brick
books as you know,
Cory's favorite book will be
added to my garden.
Sure not mailing it to San Diego.
I mailed out the paintings that
were requested and was shocked
at the cost. One canvas to Sparta Tn. 2.5,
hours down the road and it cost
$8.15 but to mail four canvas
to NC cost almost 12 bucks.
Weight, I knew it would cost
more but I thought it would
be a lot more than it was to
Sparta....SO, not mailing a brick.

Another rock for my soon
to be new rock bed.
I also picked up one
on my travels with my camera
yesterday. WOW.....the place
I went.
I will be sharing that soon.
Last yr I went all out on
my porch and yard for Halloween,
this yr., I cut back on all that.
I had mini brooms and
witch hats on one side. This
yr. I have ghost and witch
hats.
And ....my Whimsical Woman.

Last yr. I had these
skeletons sitting with a spider wed in
the corner of the porch.

This yr. One is on the trike and
one hanging. Please, over look
the weeding. My weed whacker, died.
haha...
Life at tne end of a season.

Have you decorative outside?
What is your theme?
Witches, skeletons, ghost?
Do you have trick or treaters?

On my way home from
Cumberland Furnace I had
to go through Charlotte.
This is where my oldest
grandson and kids live. I
hate last min stop ins, so
no, I did not swing by.
I have photographed this
little town before also.
But I did catch a few
snaps as I wandered through.

This house is on one side
of the square and I realized
that I never shot it before.
Too plain Jane looking for me
I guess.
But then I noticed a sign out
front so it must be of importance.
At that point, I took a snap
of it so I could remember to look it
up once I had my pics on the computer.
Here is what I found~
The Voorhies-James House
and Store, ca. 1806: Jacob Voorhies
purchased the property in 1831 for his
 mercantile business, and established the
first school for classical studies, the Tracey
Academy. Voorhies also served in
the Tennessee State Senate.

I saw this place a couple roads over,
again, snapped a pic so that I
could look it up when I returned
home.
Interesting part, finding nothing.
Sent Caleb's GF a message since they
live there.

In Charlotte I saw this
house sitting up on the
hill, first thought, glad I
don't have to cut that front hill.
2nd thought, reminded me of
the house in
Miracle on 34th Street
(the one from the 1947) version,
my favorite).
Oh, I love a tire swing.

No real trees in the yard, except
the woods to put one, but I thought
about hanging one from a permeant
made stand.

While heading out of Charlotte
I decided to venture up into the
cemetery. Its small on the road goes up
one side, around and down. I should have stopped
but I was ready to call it a day.
But the older markers alway
get my attention.

How old is this place, the
marker above states this guy
died in 1866! Amazing, he was 85,
most folks back in that time line
did not live that long.
Moing on from oldest to
old. As I was pulling out of the
cemetery to head my way, this
guy came by.
Love this.

Being it appears this
post was going to go on and on,
I am closing for now.

Later gater,
Pam

Cats can sleep in the weirdest positions. Bless their hearts.

Love all the Halloween decorations. I love that old car too. Beautiful.

Have a fabulous day and week, Pam. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

In all the time I've lived in my current place, we've never gotten trick or treaters. I think back when the place was built, it was a no-kids community. That might be part of it. Now, they can walk across the street to a large neighborhood of stand alone homes, and I'm sure they give out the good candy.
