Turtles, Magick, Costumes, Creative and Grandma's Kitchen

I was an average goof off student in
school. Mom always said that I was not
going to school to socialize. But I did not
see it that way. I have always, until of
late loved being around people.
To say that it was amazing I made
it to graduate, well, that would be
stretching it, but I was not
a straight A student.

But sometime back I remember
telling my mom that if I had
the internet when I was in school,
I would have graduated top of
my class. I have read and learned
so much thanks to the internet.
So, with that, I share these things
I found today.

Meet Adwaita, an Aldabra giant tortoise who possibly lived to see 255 years.
Think about that for a moment. This tortoise may have hatched before the American Revolution. Before cameras existed. Before electricity lit up the world.
While empires rose and fell, while humans invented flight and reached the moon, Adwaita just kept walking. Slowly. Deliberately. One ancient step at a time.
Galápagos tortoises regularly live past 150 years. They've mastered something we're all desperately seeking—time. They don't rush. They don't panic. They've been perfecting the art of patience for 300 million years.
These gentle giants can weigh over 650 pounds—more than three adult humans—yet they survive on nothing but plants and vegetation.
In a world obsessed with speed, maybe we should learn from the slowest creatures on Earth.

That is so amazing. And just think
if this turtle could talk!!

Remember the story I shared
about the frogs in Alaska.
Check this out.

These next memes are for
all my witchy friends
out there.

Sat night will be my night
with the Chamber of Commerce at
the Halloween Parade while I
photograph that event.
I will be at the square an
hour or so before the parade
starts taking pics of the citizens
that come. I thought this
would be a neat idea to have for
pics.

sometimes while scrolling FB
I run across things that get
my attention and for a girl
that loved her paper dolls, this
got my attention right off.

And look how adorable
this is.

So sorry, but this made me
laugh, however, I would not want
my child to wear it, but I would have
no problem wearing it myself.

Yes, this is me and I
can so relate.

I have never been a messy
painter but every time I
paint these days, I have it all
over me. I had to laugh the other
day when I looked at my arms
and it looked like I went
swimming in paint, cause
when I ran a press several
times before, it was a thing...
the ink just always jumped off
the press on me.

Oh yes.
For sure I would esp at
Sunday dinner with all the aunts. uncles
and cousin were there.
The older I get the more I
think about my granny and
granddaddy, mom, my aunts,
and my uncle. When I was cleaning
my granddaddy's dresser the other
day I thought of his hands touching
it, opening drawers and pulling his
clothes out. And I thought about
the fact by redoing it I was
covering up the memory of
his touch, and I hate that
thought but the memories are
really in my heart and not
in the dresser.
I felt that way when I bought
and moved into mom's house,
I noticed the light switch
plates needed cleaning and as
I did that, I cried, thinking
I was wiping away moms prints.
Funny how things come to us and
make us feel.

Have a great day,
Pam
