The Challenge is Real, Signs, Chandelier, Tennis Balls, and Icy Windows
You know I find a lot of
things to blog about from FB.
This morning, I am blogging
about this shirt I saw.
What can I say about it,
it grabbed my attention
with the saying!
My first thought was,
"sometimes these sort of
days just become a
challenge"!!!
So, bring them on.
While out and about in Cumberland
Furnace, I saw these two
street signs. Most times a street sign
is just a sign with a basic name
or at times it is a name directing
you to a cool place to live.
Years ago, when I lived in Old Hickory,
I was redoing the guest room. I wanted
it to elegant and COOL, I wanted
a chandelier for in there.
Upon posting on FB a friend of
my daughters said her mom had
one. I arranged with mom to pick it
up. For 30 bucks I bought this.
Not pretty at all. Heather
grew up in that house and this
was in it when they bought.
I just gave it a little love which
meant some cleaning, and some
spray paint, cause I don't like gold.
Oh, my gosh, it turned out
so nice. I hung it in the guest room
above the bed.
When I moved in 2020, of course
I took it down to bring with me.
For 3.5 yrs, it was stored in
the basement area of my childhood
home. When I moved to my new
home, it went into a storage
unit. Where it has been
stored since Dec. 2023.
I have been picking up things at the
storage unit, now
and again, when I was in
Centerville and moving them to my
shed. I did not have a lot left there.
But I was determined that it was
getting cleaned out before Christmas.
So, my chandelier is now here at my
new place.
Question, what will I do with it?
HAHA....that has been a thought
process that has been taking
up space in my head,
but now I think I have it
worked out.
More later.
I took a tour around the
yard to other morning, first
time since the heat
set in. I picked up four tennis
balls.
You know me, there is a cute story
behind this....
I bought a ball and this slinger thing
to throw it with for the dogs
next door. I was determined that
I would teach the younger one to bring
it back.
Upon throwing it out there to Mushy
I learned that he was more interested
in watching it fly over and hit the
ground, not so much in bringing it
back to me.
But with that, Carrie ordered a box
of tennis balls sent to my house.
I toss some over now and
again, and of course, they never
get brought back to me by the dog,
When Carrie cuts the yard, she
tossing them back over the fence
to my yard.
LOL
For those that have to go
out and work in the wintertime and
you deal with icy windows,
give this a try.
