The Smell, Large Mouth, Lily and Misty at Bedtime, Naptime, Reading, Little Devils and the Heart
Good morning,
since I blog ahead of
time, sometimes,
I am writing this on
Thursday. So, good
Thursday morning!
I got my Medicare thingy
in the mail the other day, and
walking from the mailbox to the
house, the SMELL caught my
NOSE. haha
I have years and years of
printing under my belt.
With that, I LOVE THE SMELL
OF INK!
OF INK!
So much so, I opened the book
when I got in the house
and buried my head!
Once I was high on the ink smell I
went fishing, and caught a large
mouth.
Kidding, I caught
shot this a couple
days before.
I have seen fish mailboxes
but I saw this on one of my
back road adventures and since
folks around here have NO sense
of style when it comes to
decorating mailboxes,
I decided to shoot
this and include it in my
FB albums.
Not sure what the deal was
going on Wed. night but I
was so tired, that
my girls and I hit the
sack at 7:30pm.
WHAT? I normally can't fall
asleep that early. Don't get
me wrong, I can sleep anytime,
until I head to bed. I fall asleep
on the couch watching tv., I go
to bed, wide awake for hours.
But, Wed. night I did not
do that, I fell off to
sleep right away and was
a little ticked at the girls
at 4:30 am when they wanted
me to get up and feed them.
Oh wait, that story was
headed somewhere...
Oh yeah, this is Lily Bit
curled up with me at 7:30pm
Wed. night to sleep.
And Misty right beside me,
staring at me until she
decided to lay her head down to
go night, night.
But that does lead to
a question, what are cats thinking
when they sit and star at you
for the longest? On
Wed., I did try to
take a nap, however,
Misty sat, straight up,
posed in the most
regal sat, looking
down on me while I
tried to go to
sleep.
It is hard when you are
being watched.
I laid that a couple of mins when
I opened my eyes to see her still
there, looking right at me,
staring at me.
I closed them again, a min or
two when I opened them again,
to see she has not moved.
This went on about four times
when I finally busted out laughing
and got up.
Was she watching over me,
or plotting how to get rid of me?
Silly cat.
I have tried to get back into
reading at night before bedtime but
having issues, I think I am addicted
to tv.
I read the first cook of
the Chronicles of THE ONE.
The first was good, about a virus
that comes through out and kills
a lot of folks. The second one did not
get my attention as well
But, I have found where usually
the second of books or movies
are usually not as good as the first.
But, I did finish the second one and
back to the library it will go today
since it was due on Wed.
Does your area have to deal with
these beast?
FIRE ANTS?
Devils from under the earth.
These things pop up overnight.
I treated one with the fire ant
powder that I bought last spring,
when I was treating them daily.
Had no issues through
the summer but
they are back so I started
treating again. But
they are popping
up so fast. The second
one in the
yard got treated differently.
Although, I
hate killing even these
things, I boiled
water on the stove and
poured it down the
tunnel of their dirt home.
I read that this
would actually
get down to the
queen, the powder
alerts the workers that
something is up,
and they go grab the
queen, carrying
her under the ground
to a safer spot.
The water, hits, travels
and hopefully
gets to her before
the workers do.
Course, either way,
they are gone,
either moved or dead,
we will never
know.
Am I still seeing hearts?
Yep, this one surprised
me though. While I sat
on my porch, with my
cousin, while she smoked,
I looked up and there it
was.
Imprinted as a defect in the wood
on my porch.
And look how perfect
it is.
Thank you for
stopping over,
Pam

Love your kitties. So precious.
I love Nora Roberts books. I've not read those two though. I'll pass.
Have a fabulous day and week. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥
