Cool Tree, Castle, Old Home, Blooms, Cabin, Chimney, Rock Fence, Blooms Around the Yard

On the way out of Lebanon, where
my brother lives, I spotted this
tree. So CoOl looking so
of course I had to
take a shot of it.

Have you ever been to Arrington, Tennessee
in May? Every weekend
a Renaissance Festival is held.
I have been once, I loved it.
I think in 2026 I will go again..
There is also a castle on the
grounds. I did not get there
early enough to tour the
castle but I think I need that
on my bucket to do list!
I shot this pic on my way
to Ray's house.

The castle shoots up over the tops
of the trees, overlooking the
interstate and waving it's flags
at the passing cars.

I went down main street when
I got to the city Ray lives
in and just had to stop
to look at this house.
My friend Debbie used to
live in Lebanon and I
was there a lot. I have
always loved this house.
So, I stopped to take
this photo and enjoy looking
at it again.

But just down the street
from that home, this caught
my eye. Not sure if that is
one snowball bush or several
together. But the blooms are
amazing.

Through Lebanon, and the
square I traveled to head
out of town into the country
side. I spotted this building
on the road to his house.

Having a chimney, I would
say that some homesteader
once lived here.

Speaking of a chimney,
this stands on the side of the
same road but not on the
same property.

These types of shots just
call to me.

As impressive as this line
of rocks are, they do not
photograph well at all.

I would say these might have
been here awhile, but
not as long as most would think.
No weeds, or vines
growing over it.

However, a bit down the road,
I would say these might have
been here a lot longer.

Did you catch the deer looking
at me?
There is a long stretch of this
wall. Once known in the
south as a slave wall. Plantation
owners used to have their slaves
put these walls together, stacked
on top of each other, no concrete
and nothing to hold them together.
Things seemed to be so much
simpler then.

For simple,
just some simple
pics from around the
yard.

My challenge to you,
go out and smell the flowers,
don't have to be roses,
just flowers.

Smile,
Pam

You find such great things to photograph.
That castle is so cool, I want one! Love the flower photos too. Hey, I did answer your email.

Every autumn for several consecutive weekends we have a Rennaisance festival. But nothing ever changed, so we stopped going. And we learned to avoid this stretch of roadway during those times. lol Nice deer sighting! I'm sorry to read about those slave walls. ~sigh~ But to my understanding, there are more slaves around the world than in history, and it remains illegal in our country, so we can have US pride in that. Be well, my dear.

Cool castle. I've been to a medieval fair not far from me but that was years ago. It was fun and I would love to go again.
