Plants in the Yard, Hurricane Name, and Rock Tumbling,

Oh my, sometimes I just don't think
things through before jumping in and doing.
Yesterday morning I took you for a tour
of part of the front yard but I know better
if when the pollen count is low.
I was not greased up in my thick lotion
so, the itching was going on while
I typed up the post yesterday. Shower time
to stop that, then it was time before
heading out again to lotion up.

You see, along with my many other
bad body parts, my skin don't like it
when pollen lands on it.
I had taken my allergy pill,
but only right as I was heading out
the door. Due to this, I have many
scars up and down my legs and arms,
sharing space with several scratches
and gashes from working outside lately.
So, shower, lotion and a tour of the
rest of the yard.

I have dug this up twice
already. I got four pieces on the
first dig. Gave two to Theresa
and I planted two to the side of
the carport in the trees. They are
doing well. Guess I will give
this a try at moving it too.

Also, growing in the driveway is
Dog Fennel.
I have left it alone and it
keeps getting bigger and bigger.

I don't eat mushrooms but I
could not eat these anyway,
they are not the kind for
eating.

According to my plant app this
is a Coprinaceae.

A down on the ground view
of my wildflower bed.
Things are coming up all in it.
A lily and iris planted in
an old file cabinet.

Cyress Vine aka
Hummingbird Vine coming up.
I threw some more seeds in
the pot with these cause
I want it fuller.

My little Gnome looking
happy in his garden.
Dirty but happy.
That plant standing proud is
a Solomons Seal, from Deana.

In the trees.

This area is right down from
my Happy Gnome.
This is where I am going
to put a firepit.

Backside of my mailbox
set up.
This started out with the rocks
for the mail person, and the one
flowerbed behind it. The other
two beds were added this year.

This is a common evening
primrose.

Plains Coreopsis

Morning Glory,
they have grown a lot
since yesterday from the rain.

This plant is odd.
I bought a Lilac bush,
removed the wrapping, planted
it and then I got to looking
at the leaves and thinking
that is not Lilac.
According to my app,
this is a Desert Fase Indigo.
A WHAT?
This is what the internet shows
as to what this bush will look like.

FYI ~ I have also planted about five
Hydrangea roots from Wally World and
looks like only one is
coming up. Next time, I just go
ahead and pay the crazy price and get
one already in bloom.

Lance leaved corepsis.

So, this covers
the yard for now.

I guess this says something, I
don't think a hurricane has ever
carried my name!
WOW, that is a plus for me!

Oh yeah, I think I forgot to mention that
I ordered this.

I am finding lately with the good
weather and temps and the body
is somewhat happen, that I love
to play at what I want to do and
not so much what I need to do.
I set this tumbler up yesterday afternoon
with just a few things and it
is tumbling away in the kitchen.
But, next time I think I will
put in the back bedroom and
shut the door. It is not really a unbearable
noise, it sounds like rain on a tin roof.
This is the first time in a while
that I have not had a tin roof on
my deck but the noise still makes
me want to run and see how hard
it is raining! lol

Anyway, the stones have not been
going 24 hours yet and I am
waiting for that mark. I have
NO PATIENCE.

Yesterday I mentioned a streaming
wall of hearts and thought about doing
that with all my hearts I have found,
I still have time for thinking on
that one. But I also collect
rocks from places I go.
I paint the area on that rock
as to where it was found and
thought I would just throw them
in with my flowers. BUT...
I had yet another thought, I am in
the slow process of making a walkway
to the shed from the deck steps. It
will take a bit to locate and place
the type of things I want
to place in this walkway.
It is going to be a total miss
match of things and now I think
placing my PLACES rocks in with
that would be nice.
Gotta think of that a bit more.

Hoping your flowers and
plants are doing great,
Pam

You have beautiful property. I love the beds by the mail box and the rocky border. Can't wait to see how things tumble!

What a fun read. :) My garden is looking good; I'll have to go into more detail. But did you know that sweet potatoes are in the morning glory family? Fingers crossed, we'll get a good crop this fall. Be well, my dear.
Gosh, I've been doing yard work but you make me look like quite the slacker!

hi there Pam, I love seeing what all you are doing in your yard. Love how you did your mailbox! I like seeing what all you have planted, and you know how you and I both like the "whimsy" things in our gardens, so I like to see yours. The rock tumbler is interesting, I've seen those since I was a kid, and never had one or used one, so looking forward to seeing what it did! Sounds like it sure makes a noise, ha ha Lol. Hugs from south carolina and happy mothers day my friend

You need one of those beekeeper suits or a hazmat suit for when you work in your garden to keep the pollen at bay.

Hurricane season…I hope we don’t have any of those names this year! What are the chances of that?
Your yard (garden) is looking good.
I do like your gnome he does look a happy one :)

All the best Jan
