Morning in Bed with a Cat, DJ Sick, Braden's Interest, Being Boring, Zuzu and Morning Tour

 The other morning
I did coffee in bed,
and I ended up staying a bit.
Cause you know how
it goes....a cat sits on
you, you can't move.
And mom's must be great
for leaning on to nap.

So, DJ has been sicky and on
Monday I took him to a walk in.
Strep test results were clear however,
his throat was killing him.
Sent home with instructions
to take a daily allergy pill
and IB. Come Friday he
was no better. Matter of
fact, he was doing a lot
of sleeping and no
eating, cause it hurt to
shallow. Amber took
him late in the day for an
appt. where it was discovered
that he had a peritonitis abscess in
his throat.
Sent him straight to Vandy in
Nashville. Being seen,
having a CT and labs took
forever, and they ended up
keeping him all night.
Around 11pm they were
able to lance the abscess.
I had gone and got Braden
when he got out of school,
we picked up pizzas and its
a good thing, cause him and
Emmy had to stay the night.
Amber, DJ and Will did
not make it home from
the hospital till around 3
on Saturday afternoon.
DJ is doing so much better.

But before it got dark, and
the storms moved in,
we went out in the yard. I taught
him how to hunt for
fossils and Indian Money.

He is so excited, cause when
I order the stuff to tumble
them, we are going to clean
his rocks. He takes after his
nana in things like this
being an interest.
And yes, he did wash his rocks
over a plate in the sink.

I saw this saying on
FB and thought yep,
that's me so I shared it
to my page.

Shortly after posting it I
got this comment.
You must be bored a lot
From my daughter in law!
lol.

This popped up as a memory
on my FB page this morning.
This is my brother feeding
Zuzu a bottle
nine years ago.
Zuzu was there first cat and
I fell in love. She is the reason
I now own two cats!

My Sunday morning started like
all the other mornings, a tour
around the yard.

This is looking one way
as I stepped off the porch.
The house belongs to Carrie and
her furs.

Looking down the other way.

I was greeted again this
morning by Zilah, Mushy and

Stormtrooper.

Yesterday day I gave them
treats so today I think they were
looking for more. I don't want to
make that a daily thing and
them think that is why I come
over to pet them and say hi.
But from time to time, I will
treat them.

Have a great Sunday,
Pam

Good thing they finally figured out what was wrong. The pain must have been terrible.

Glad your grandson got to the right place to help him! And it sounds like you had a great time with your rock collector.
Poor BJ, that sure isn't fun. Purrs to sweet Misty from all of us.

Oh my on DJ. I've been hearing more and more about those walk in clinics misdiagnosing people. The last time I went to one the doctor I saw didn't seem to care what was wrong and acted like I was just making it all up. I'm glad DJ finally got the treatment he needed and is feeling better.

I am glad DJ is recovered. It is so scary when the children are sick. You living nearby makes it so much easier to help out. We are glad to live near our daughter as well.

It was nice coming along with you on your walk around your yard. So many interesting things to see. And your coffee cup is delightful. Love that quote too. ; ) I'm so sorry to hear that DJ has been sick. Good to hear he is doing better. I had strep before when I was younger, and it was so bad I could barely swallow. It's such a nasty thing to get.
