Dirty Coffee Morn, The Yard, Oxeye Daisy, and the Girls Sleeping

 Good morning loves!
The girls woke me at the time
slot they have settled with,
between, 6 to 6:30.
Filled the bowls, and went
back to bed till 8.
Gotten into this horrible
thing of not being able to
fall asleep no matter how tired
I am. It was after one on
Wed. night. It's becoming my
normal, I need to break that normal.

Anyway, finally it was time
at which my dirt arrived.
You know a load of dirt is
not that big.
So, that pile of dirt cost me
around 400 bucks, the gold
of dirt I guess!

See where the edge of the porch
is? My wall will start there.

I will stretch out to the center
of the side yard, with a lip, AKA
a curve, so that it is not just
straight and also keep the water
from running over to Carrie's
yard (neighbor).

When I cut the yard last week,
this spot did not get cut on purpose,
I had cinder blocks in the way. Ben (dude
doing my work), moved them for me.

I thought these were considered weeds
but looking them up, they are not. Guessing
they fall in the wildflower group then.
Did you once upon a time, and
might still be, it was against the law
to pick wildflowers.

haha....but in my yard, I am
sure that law would not apply.
Since there are several I might
just have to go pick them and
put them in a vase. Or at least,
dig them up and plant them.

With all that said, I am up to
four baby maple trees, two pine
and a yucca plant.
BUT~
next week I am heading to
my old stomping grounds to
see a friend about plants.
She has 3 Crepe myrtle, a few Redbud trees
and a white bush, plus lots of
perennials for me. I am so
My neighbor in who I will
refer to here by her name, Carrie, from
now on (so you know who this
new name belongs to), brought me
some raspberry plants. She has a garden
at her daycare and the raspberries
were overflowing.
Gotta get those, my
yucca and Lilac brush (I bought),
 in the ground today.
Think I am headed that way
when this post is done.
My BLANK
canvas seems to be
getting colored in!
In the next couple of years
this yard will be popping!

Wed. night, I could not sleep,
but the girls had no issues with that.

Have a great day,
Pam

Dirt is not cheap! And you have a lot of work ahead, but it will be so pretty! I love the wild daisies.
Happy Easter!

$400 doesn't get you much dirt these days.
You're going to be busy with all that planting
OMG, that is expensive dirt. Hello sweet kitty girls!

That is gold you bought, right? It doesn’t look big either.

It sounds like your friend has a lot to offer from her garden. Enjoy the process!

Happy Easter!

When I had issues falling asleep, I started taking melatonin. It worked wonders for me (and I haven't taken it in years now).
