Redoing Corners, The Furs and The Rusty Truck Painting

I think I told you all
in one of my post that I
realized I needed some
wood added to my kitchen to
warm it up some.
White cabinets, white in the
counter tops, and white subway
tiles don't put off any
warmth. I am trying to add
touches of it here and there.
I made this tray a few years
ago, also made the big
cutting board, then I had the
smaller one, hoping to add
warmth. Jars and candles
add a touch of whimsical
aspect to that corner.

I also had a white utensil
holder but changed that
up like this.

The Cola Cola box was
moms and it was sitting on the
other side of the stove, catching
everything. Couple Mason
jars sitting over in it works
great to put utensils in.

Got another corner that needs
work, but trying to decide
what I am going to go there.

Sit down everyone, these pics
really shocked me.
I heard a little ruckus in
the bedroom on Sunday so I
went to check it all out and
found this.
4.5 years and finally, this
is the closest these two have
ever been.
Check it out.

Course I had to get a pic
from every angle.

Then on Monday Lily
was back to her couch cushion.

Misty rather curl up
on my chest when I am sitting,
but while laying on the
couch, I gave her no choice
and she had to lay on my
side.

I tried and tried to tell this
girl that she will go deaf
and blind sitting this close
to the tv but she will not listen.
She did not listen when
I told her that her dad
was not a glass maker either.

Silly fur kids.

Monday I got a text from
my older brother, the one
that was moving.
He sent me this pic and
said that it was right
next to the doorway
in the entryway.

I painted this for him
from a pic he took when
he was out west. Him and
Lori spotted the truck in
a field and stopped and
took a great pic.
Lori said that it is
setting the color pallet for the
house.
I am honored.

I like what you are doing in your kitchen!
Cats are so much fun.
I love that your painting for your brother is getting a place of honor.
