Wayne, High Tea, A Yolk, Oak, Hickory Pignuts and Snow

 Oh crap, its cold!

On Saturday the 4th, I was
totally shocked.
Julie (venue) contacted me
to let me know her
brother Wayne passed away.
Unlike his sister, Wayne
was quite but he was always
at the get togethers and I
did a photo shoot with him
and his Camero.

Wayne was 55.
He had attended a dinner at
Vic and Mitzi house for
New Years Night. Went home
cause he was to be at
work the next morning.

In a roundabout way, Julie
and Wayne's cousin got word that
Wayne had not been to work
in two days. So, Lisa tried texting
and calling, with no answer. Lisa
grabbed their friend Jerry to ride
over to the house with her
where they found Wayne. He
apparently passed in his sleep
at some point after he went
home. Alone, he laid there
for two days.
My heart is broken for
Julie and Lisa.

There was no stress on
his face, he looked so
peaceful is what Lisa told
me. Julie and Lisa had
a grandma that passed with
an Aneurysm, so they
figure that is the way
Wayne went.

HUGS to all.

Every January, Liz from the
group I am a part of,
The K Crew, has a High
Tea at her house for the group.
We were scheduled to
meet on the 4th but Kevin
and Dana had to be out of town
for a death. The day
was changed to the 11th.
I just hope for the snow that
we are being told we
will get on the 10th does
not mess this up. But if it
snows, I am not driving 1.3 hours
in the snow.

Liz also wants us all in
our finest for a pic.
She wanted to do a
Downton Abby theme but
not everyone wanted to do
it. I however plan on still
dressing Downton Abby and
being decked out, if I get to
go.

Lightening the mood...

To me, an Oak is an Oak...
until I realized there were so
many different types.

I have a app on my phone
that tells me what a plant is.
I realized I had a couple different
oaks back in the spring. Having them
in my mini forest is good, they are
such strong trees that I hopes
I don't have to worry about
winds or storms taking
any down.

I also learned that I had
Hickory Pignut trees.
Kept seeing these nuts on the
ground and knew they were
not pecans so I looked them
up. They are Hickory Pignuts.

That was a new one on me.
Today, I am going out into the
yard, grab up some pignuts
some sticks and limbs and store
them on the porch....
I might need them for making
a snow person! lol

Conversation with Amber last
night went like this...
ME: I need to gather up my
snow person stuff if it snows.

AMBER: I need to make sure I
have all the groceries I need.

It's a matter of where your
priority lies!
As the girls go, they
have food, we are covered!
haha

 Have you been hit with
the any snow yet?

Pam

We have had more snow this year, but not the amounts areas to our east and west have! The plows are out at night and the roads stay clear here in town. My husband has been shoveling the sidewalk, but I think if he would give it an hour, the sun would melt it.

55 is so young but going in your sleep is good. Had no idea of different types of oak.

I have had more than enough snow for one season. I'm counting down till spring.
So sorry to hear about Julie's brother.
