Merry Christmas Eve, Kids will Never Know, Penguins, Humpback Whales and Lily

 Merry Christmas
Eve to all!

I was listening to Christmas
music on the way to the
Christmas event on Sunday.
I can't remember which song its
in but there is a line that
says something
about a "five and dime"...
I had to laugh, kids today do not
even have a clue what that is.

The next day I was on FB and
saw this pic.

Another thing that
kids today will never
know. There is no
creativity when it comes
to play with kids today. They live on
phones or gaming system.
My grands have bikes, but Nana
is going to take them and play
with them when she takes them
apart. They have laid outside in
the elements for several years now,
they guy that cuts the yard, moves
them around to cut.

I have to say my grands do like
playing board games though, and
I love that. Me and my two used
to have a game night after dinner
through the week. It was fun.

Before heading out on
 Sunday for the
hour plus drive, I was
killing time till
I could leave. I watched
a program, the title
was, "When the Earth
Changed". It was of
course about COVID and
it showed pics
of places like LA, all
covered in smug
then another one just
a week into
the shut down, and
the air was so
clear and crisp looking.
But they also
focused on animals
and how they
started to venture out
and how their
life changed during shut down.
It was really interesting.
I learned that in Africa where I
would never think you would find
penguins, there are some. They making
a braying sound like a jackass,
they are called jackass penguins.
Okay, that was funny.
Penguins are the cutest!

I also learned that Humpback
whales go down under the water
and blow bubbles that herd and
trap groups of fish together.
When done, they swim up and
chow down on the feast.

Used to tell my mom that if
we had the internet when I was in
school, I would have been a
straight A student!

This girl looks like a queen
sitting up on the couch
like this.

Talk about
ADORABLE!

The girls and I wish you
all a very Merriest
Christmas,
Pam

" take a look at the five and ten, glistening once again" may be the song. " It's beginning to look alot like Christmas ". I only knew that because we have an old Christmas cardinal decoration that sings it ha ha 😆 🤣 😂.

In the song "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" There is a line that says "Take a look in the five and ten, glistening once again, with candy canes and silver lanes aglow."
Yeah, I think I know the words to more Christmas songs than I do regular songs.

Sadly, the kiddos today don't use the internet to help them. They find ways to avoid work, just as we did at their age.
Merry Christmas from all of us!
