Charlotte TN., and Montgomery Bell State Park
Monday, I decided to head to
Charlotte TN., county seat of
Dickson Co., which is one of the
counties around me.
As I headed to Charlotte, taking
the back way from my house, I
past this church. Once I passed it,
of course, I had to turn around and
go back to see what sort of
pics I could get.
I moved around to get a view of
the church with the tree, making for
a cool shot.
colors!
Just made me feel great riding around
viewing all the colors.
I hit Charlotte and sort of drove
around a bit. I have not been to
Charlotte since the mid 80s.
A woman I worked with in
Printing was from Charlotte.
Debbie Brewer, also from printing,
and I drove to see Ann once.
Ann lived in a unique home.
Ann's home was a church.
But moving on, I found this
old looking building. No signage to
tell me what this building houses or
what it used to be.
Course, the buzzard on top got
my attention.
I stopped in square to walk around.
Across from the courthouse is
this store.
I did not get to go in, it was closed
but they also have a for sale sign in
the window.
just check out the stuff on the outside.
The cool thing was that I have never
seen a square where houses surrounded it.
This was one of the homes across
from the courthouse, used to be a business
I failed to get a pic of the whole house,
oh well!
But it is a private home now and
used to be an Inn back in 1850.
Cool courthouse, I did not see
any signage about the yr it was built.
But, it looks like an 1800 building here
in the south.
than one vocal point.
Hence the shot below, the top of
the courthouse and a gazebo.
Or trees...
I fell in love with these...
where cowboys tied their horses
up at the front of the courthouse.
There was a whole line of them,
so, wanting that different shot,
I shot through one to the others.
I love gates, I found a couple
of old ones in Charlotte.
This first one looks to be really
But then again, what I can see
of this one below, it appears
to be fairly old also.
Although I saw a lot of colors, I found
I love Montgomery Bell,
it is one of the prettiest parks around.
Have you been out looking
for colors!?
