Fur Baby Love and Challenges- Part 3

 Morning everyone.
Don't usually post about
the furs on this blog since
they have then own but I
just wanted to share..

You all know I love
all my FURS.
All equal but
differently.
Lily is loved cause she
was my first cat.
She is special and
beautiful. She is so sweet,
but not really loving.
She is my special girl.
She holds a really special spot
in my heart.

Misty is different. She is more
a lover then Lily.
She don't mind me holding
her (some) where Lily
would rather me not and
she lets me know that.
However, Misty is my
familiar.
She seems to know me
the best, or maybe she
just shows it more.
She is like my shadow,
but not as sticky
a shadow as
Dakota was...lol..
Yesterday while holding her
I realized just how lucky
I am.
I was not warned about cat
behavior before I got
Lily...and yes, I know
that all cats are different.
After I got her I was warned
the some cats love to climb
curtains, blinds, scratch
at furniture and get on
kitchen cabinets.
YIKES....
My Lily was not like that.
She was perfect!
I did have to break her
of the cabinet and kitchen
table thing but that was easy
to do with a water bottle.
Never messed with curtains,
blinds or furniture. She did
play with the TP on the roll
a couple of times as a kitten
and she loved the BR counter
where the Q tips were...
she loved Q tips.

Misty is not near as active
as Lily was. She never messed
with anything. No curtains, no
Q tips....nothing.
Except, my winter gloves.
Those of you that don't
follow the fur babe blog
are not aware of the glove
fetish. haha....

Anyway, I realized that she
likes to bring them to me,
usually when I sleep but
I think she thinks they
are gifts to me.
I keep them in a basket
at the end of the stairs so
she has access to them.
I think it is cute so I don't
remove them.

But like I said, in holding
and loving on Misty yesterday
I thought about how lucky I am.
I talked with my sis in law,
and thanked her again for
giving Misty to me.
She is so loving, so soft
and a momma's babe. She
will come in sometime during
the day to love on me, but she
seems to need me at night.

Lily seems to be more independent
than Misty. Don't get me wrong
she shows me love in her
own way.

Chey is different of course.
She is a dog.
She is not Dakota
but she is her!
She loves me and I
love her but I just
don't have a bond with her
like I do my cats.
She has little quirks that
mom thought was cute
but I find them to be a pain.
My daughter calls her
Sheriff Cheyanne.
She has to know what is
going on and she wants
to be smack dap in the
middle of it all.
She challenges me on
things. I will be in the yard
with her and I go up the
deck steps, calling her to
come and she just stares at me.
She waits till I go in and
sat down, then she barks.
She does the same coming
in the house from the deck.
I have made her wait till I
am ready to go let her
in but that has not taught
her. She also challenges me
with peeing in the house.
She will go out, come back
in, I will leave to go out, not
gone 30 mins and she pees in
the kitchen floor.
I have had to start leaving
pads down for her. She
now gets up at night and
goes also but I am not aware.
I know she is getting older and
its hard to hold it at times but
She will lay up here all day
long and never want to go out
but at dusk, that changes.
Then again, I think she pees
when I leave the house cause
she is mad.

Animal....they come with
challenges but they
come with lots of love
also.

I know your kitties are so precious to you and so is Chey. It's amazing how one cat isn't a lover and others are.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the furbabes. ♥

My roommate has a dog that does that. When she's mad at us for leaving, she will pee on the floor.

Cats are interesting creatures. That's for sure.

Every animal I have ever had has had their own unique personality.

The pets are work and love mixed together, heavy on the love!
They are so sweet and the love and adore their Mama!

I love this post -- you bring to mind the thought I often have that all animals, like kids I suppose, have their own personalities and we can try to adapt them to us but it's a losing battle and it all works better when they just find their own way. Gypsy was all over me -- a little shadow, couldn't do a craft project or read a book without him on my lap. I had to train Lizzie for lap, 30 seconds at a time. Now we can do much longer, but I know it isn't what she wants and if I stop petting her, she's off like a flash. She's her own girl, not Gypsy, and I love her to bits! I loved learning more about all of yours!

We're super blessed. :D And so are all the animals who ended up with you. That includes toads and lizards, too. ~hugs~ Be well!
